I hope they don't transfer all old posts over . They should archive it somewhere and lock it for looking up only etc .
It would be fabulous to start with a clean slate .0 -

Agree, but only if forum members are allowed to go in and delete all their posts before they are "set in stone" or "locked up" foreever. GDPR should apply.0 -
I'm sorry to say that I disagree. Being able to read old posts is helpful and often fascinating. What would be gained?0

Excited to see the new platform - I'm sure we will all come to embrace it.

That would seem like a lot of hard work needing to be done again by not knowing who has been banned and having to start over.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Don't quite follow the logic?
So I stop driving an old Ford and swap it for a much newer Audi, which means I have to apply for a new licence, take a new driving test and I lose all my years of no-claims bonuses on my new insurance policy?
I still use it for exactly the same purpose, take the same journeys and make the same decisions.
Indeed the boot of the Audi generally contains most of what was in the boot of the Ford. Golf clubs, umbrella, wellingtons, shopping crates, a few tools and some emergency car accessories.
The glove box has the same map, torch and a few CDs as before.
The same Dash Cam sits below my rear view mirror.
Other than a slightly different aroma, the carpet has a different texture, two buttons have swapped places, the dashboard has an extra dial and there's a new knob that when pushed make my bum nice and warm (heated seats) ...
... the steering wheel, pedals and levers are all but identical!
NOTHING has really changed that much

I think just a year or two posts should be sufficient . Anything older should be archived .0
