none of the rewards really appeal to me, I see a lot of people are selling the 6 cinema tickets for £30-40 on ebay.
will the tickets be void if the account is closed (or probably switched) before they are used??0 -
I am very pleased to have opened this new Club Lloyds account and I am just waiting for on line account access and a debit card. It will be a very much appreciated £125 incentive.
Yesterday evening I tried to find Club Lloyds 'live web chat' to ask this question but I could not find the link. My switch date is Friday 11 October and three of my four direct debits on my 'old' account I am switching from will have been paid before 11 October.
My question, if anyone can help please, is: "Because only one direct debit will come out of the new Club Lloyds account after the switch date (the other three won't be due again until November) will I have to pay the £3 fee for October?"
I'll be arranging to pay in the first monthly £1500 (for the 1% interest and to use some of it as savings every month) soon after my switch date then every month. I will use the rest for bills and other expenses with my debit card every month or to take cash out when needed.
Thank you very much for any replies - or if anyone would know where I could find the link for live web chat, please.

You've got it the wrong way round - the £1500 avoids the £3 fee and the 2 DD's get you the interest. :T

Thanks very much ctdcd. That's really good although it sounds as if I don't pay out another direct debit (to make it two paid out from the new Club Lloyds account) in October I just won't get any interest? It should be all 'sorted' in November.
Thanks for pointing out my misunderstanding. Do you happen to know how to find the live web chat link for Club Lloyds in case I need it, please?

No idea about the web chat - but it will probably be useless anyway!
You don't have to leave the £1500 in the account so you could move it elsewhere to earn interest for the first month - or even longer as there are savings accounts that pay more. Or if it's already earning interest elsewhere, you could move it in towards the end of the month.Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?0 -

There is, as far as I know, no web chat on Lloyds website or on their app.0 -

The account's T&C state that Lloyds 'may' cancel the tickets if the account is closed.
Some people have reported (in other older threads about club Lloyds) that the tickets cease to work if the account is closed, so this is a definite possibility.0 -
A few quick questions from a switching newbie:
1). I have a joint account elsewhere with my wife (Coop) and my wife also has a current account elsewhere (RBS). Neither of us has had a Lloyds product for years. Can we switch both accounts and receive 2x £125 and 2x 6 cinema tickets?
2). My wife's sole current account with the RBS has no direct debits, can it still be switched or would she need to set some up beforehand?
2). If we are only really going to use one of the accounts, can the other be downgraded after receiving the switching bonus?
3). If we keep a minimum of £5,000 in the account at all times we get about £5 a month in interest?
4). Can our children use the cinema tickets or are they just for named account holders?
5). Do standing orders get switched automatically along with direct debits?
6). This is obviously a daft question....but presumably all regular payments into our accounts (salaries, child benefit, etc) don't get 'switched' and we have to contact everyone to give them our new details?''He who takes no offence at anyone either on account of their faults, or on account of his own suspicious thoughts, has knowledge of God and of things devine.''0 -
Going to try and download my Club Lloyds account, so I can open another one and switch to it to get the bonus. Seems there may even be a possibility I could end up with twice the amount of cinema vouchers (all depends if the existing ones get cancelled) However, their website appears to be experiencing difficulties atm0

I downgraded my CL to a Classic account and then opened a new CL account. I got a new CL rewards account linked to my new current account with new cinema vouchers. I tried to redeem the vouchers from my old CL account just to see what would happen, and they appeared to have already been cancelled since Cineworld wouldn't accept them. Thought it'd be worth mentioning.0
