Our switch date is 10th, i v'e just downgraded both account's to the classic via smartphone, this has got to be the easiest and quickest £250 we have made so far, well done Lioyds.
I think i will leave them till November and switch them to Barclays.
Maybe I am just being stupid but I can't see how/where to downgrade my account to classic either on mobile or internet. Can anyone advise?0 -

Taken from the Lloyds website:
You’ll get 1.00% AER (0.99% annual gross) variable on balances from £1 up to and including £3,999.99, and 2.00% AER (1.98% annual gross) variable on any part of the balance from £4,000 up to and including £5,000. You won’t earn interest on any part of your balance over £5,000.0 -

I just dont see that when i log on. When I log on see my club lloyds balance in the middle and the options - 'view statement', 'make a payment','upgrade account' and 'more actions' - to the right.
Nowhere can I see 'change account type'0 -

Select your existing Club Lloyds account. Click on 'Upgrade account'. I know it isn't an Upgrade - but that is how to do it;)0 -

Thanks for that but if I follow those links I get the message:
We're sorry
There are no other current accounts you can change to. If you'd like to open another current account you can apply for one separately.
I get the same message if I click on 'upgrade account'0 -
I did think that could be a valid interpretation, but would need them to clarify... however I'm persona non grata with Lloyds for multiple openings & immediate switchings out... so don't want to draw attention to me on another switching 'scam'...:)
I've got several Classics, so they may decline an application for a new Club: Can you close Lloyds acs on line?
The reason I asked is because my main account is with lloyds. I already opened a second account with them once just to switch it out. If I open a second one now for the switching offer, then close it straight away, will they cause me trouble (maybe shut my account down)?0 -
I've opened/switched a few bank accounts recently, and I have to say, I've been very impressed with the process of opening the Club Lloyds account out of all of them.
I applied on Tuesday night, and found the application process online very easy & straightforward to do. Selected a switch completion date (the earliest being 17/10/19), and received my activation code by post on Thursday. The £125 was paid into my account yesterday (Friday), and I received by PIN & card this morning (Saturday).
Very impressive!
Together with the option of the 2% on 5k, and the tickets/gourmet/mag subscription, I'd like to say well done Lloyds.
Maybe I'm easily pleased
I'm not fussed about the small print on the interest because I don't have any spare DDs anyway.
It's also one of the more attractive/sophisticated-looking cards (these things are important! The M&S card, for example, is the adult equivalent of your Dad picking you up outside school in his Skoda.)0
