Planning on doing my Lloyds switch from Tesco, if I ever get confirmation that I was successful. Doesn't seem to be anything in the T&Cs about not switching from an other LBG bank, although never sure what Group any of them belong to these days. I think Tesco is/was part of RBS rather than BoS, which has links with LBG?

I'm switching from Tesco on the 15th and have already received my bonus.

Tesco Bank has been wholly owned by Tesco plc since 2008. Neither Tesco Bank nor its predecessors were ever part of any of the LBG companies.

got the we can confirm your account will be switched on the 18th text message from lloyds very easy process not heard a thing from monza though but i'm not expecting to.

I wonder how soon i can open another monza account and whether they will let me this time i'll end up using the account rather than just switching it out.

just had my activation code through the post and i registered it

lloyds seems to remember details of my past lloyds club account from 2016/2017 ie landline number which was never supplied to them during the current application and it says i have previous messages dated back to november 2017 which i can read i'm almost certain that account was switched out to natwest to get their offer 2 years ago.

hopefully this won't be problematic with the switch bonus.

No confirmation text but the switch is going through fine according to people on the phone. All my payees have moved over and my Direct Debits are showing.

This has been utterly painless, but then I didn't really expect much else. It's identical to the Halifax process which itself is really solid. (Although it did help that I opened a Club Lloyds account a few months back and closed it the same day after getting cold feet, so had login credentials for them already...)

The 1% interest isn't part of the switch offer, though. It's just a standard benefit of the Club account.

I'm not sure a certain browser will guarantee a faultless application process from what I've read. Lloyds told me a few days ago their web problems were fixed, but they weren't.

I was using chrome and the page stalls after inputting the switch account details with no way to continue. I pressed the 'tab' key when this happened the second time and a blue highlighted 'continue' button half appears for you to press. It may be worth trying if you get stuck on that page.
  • Like I said, I am probably mixing BoS up with RBS. Tesco certainly share some offices/dapartments with RBS, I think. ;)

I have been advised over the phone to apply the account only without switching during application. once the account is open you will have your account number and sort code. By then you can submit the online switch form to complete the account switch.
