T&Cs state you can only have Club Lloyds Benefits on one account - but that isn't the same as saying you can only have one Club Lloyds account.
It's rather clear what they mean by that! If you have a Club Lloyds account then you have the "Club Lloyds benefits".urs sinserly,

I opened a Starling bank account a few days ago. The card came through the post today. I feel guilty using it as a donor account but it was so quick and easy to apply for.
Applied for Lloyds Club Account just now and it was successful. Set up the switch for the 21st. My activation code is in the post and so is my new debit card. They have already given me my new account details. Really pleased!EMERGENCY FUND £1644.03 / £3000 (55% SAVED)

I don't see why not.
In fact I may just have had a lightbulb moment - or maybe someone spotted it before me

Maybe all this downgrade/upgrade malarkey is totally unnecessary.
Apologies if this has been said before, but I've been away:o
Now, I've managed to downgrade my existing Club Lloyds to a Classic and opened a new Club Lloyds this evening for the purposes of switching. However, when I tried to do the switch there was an error with their systems. If I wait 24hrs or so should it work? Or is it worth giving them a call?0 -
See my post number 227.
Did you try pressing the 'tab' key .... the 'continue' button appears half-hidden at the bottom of the page, left hand side if I remember correctly. It worked for me.
I seem to have has this issue too, I couldn't find the "continue" button and when I refreshed the screen it went back to the start! Now when I apply again it says I need to wait 30 days as Ive already tried!
Is there any way around this?
Thanks. Frank0 -
I have an existing long held Club Lloyds a/c.
I have today opened a second Club Lloyd's account. This has been confirmed by Lloyds and the sort code and a/c number for this new account are shown on my online banking page as up and running, alongside my existing accounts.
My query is - will this new account be eligible for the switching bonus when I pursue the switching process on it?
The T&Cs seem to specify that the bonus will be paid on switching to a new Cub account, ie this new second account should be eligible.
Is one of the two Club Lloyds accounts a joint account? If not you may come unstuck if Lloyds realise, i.e. no £125.
If above board then as long as the new Club account has been opened since 1st October which it has, it should be eligible. Just click the offer link for existing accounts, not new accounts.0 -
If you try to open a second Club Lloyds account online then you'll find they're not that happy about it! You can only have one account with 'Club' benefits on it at any one time.

I had the same issue, but the second attempt straight after, and inputting all the details again, did work. This was within ten minutes of downgrade. Did logout between downgrade and applying for the switch to new account.0 -

Suggestion - visit a branch. It worked for me. I had the same issue as you.0 -
Anyone else tried using the links from MSE site and got to p5 of the form and not been able to finish?
Online chat not much help, but when I tried again it said I couldn't reapply for 30 days! So it obviously completed my application, but I have nothing to say my account is open.
Was with Lloyds as my first bank but switched to Halifax as that was the only local LBG branch when I moved here. Despite being part of the LBG Halifax don't like talking to Lloyds.
Edit: I should have read on after the first couple of pages on here. Apparently post #227 had the same issue. Off to read that now. You'd think online chat would know about that little problem.

Post #227 has the answer: use tab key.
Edit: Despite using the replyto button this post does not seem to connect to the one I was replying to.Ah well: guess I shouldn't expect much to work on here as using Safari browser with the main MSE page causes my iPad to display a blank page and needs the browser closing and catching the page before it reloads to stop the whole internet from locking up!

Planning on doing my Lloyds switch from Tesco, if I ever get confirmation that I was successful. Doesn't seem to be anything in the T&Cs about not switching from an other LBG bank, although never sure what Group any of them belong to these days. I think Tesco is/was part of RBS rather than BoS, which has links with LBG?Keef - Sheerness, Kent UK0
