Just in case it is important to you, the FlexDirect account is the only one of the three where you can't have paper statements

Can someone confirm that online applications switching into this Lloyds account allows me to pick my own switch date please?

I've never had a lloyds account before - signed up on Friday and didn't get offered a switch date, as far as I recall. They just told me it would be the 15th.

It displays the earliest date. You can change this if you want.

Could you double / multiply the lifestyle benefits by using two lloyds accounts and continuously upgrading / downgrading to club lloyds and Lloyds classic respectively ?

Say you open this new Club lloyds Accounts for Cash incentive and choose one of lifestyle benefit.

You then downgrade it to become a classic account.

After this downgrading is completed you upgrade your "other" Lloyds Classic AC you already have to become Club Lloyds account.

If you do this a least once a year you will double this lifestyle benefits. Possibly triple if you do it more frequently.

What will prevent people for doing this ?
  • The Select credit card gives you fee free purchasing, abroad.

They also give decent BT offers. I recently had 0% for 18 months (with fee).

I'm trying to apply for a bank account. I already have a Lloyds credit card, so I'm logging in, and I'm trying to do it either via the app or web based. In all instances I'm just getting a 'Something went wrong' message when just trying to look at at the available current accounts.

Anyone else had this? I've done it in different browsers, different PC's, different operating systems, different networks and still no joy. So I'm pretty satisfied it's not me. :rotfl:

Try doing it not logged in and select 'I am not already a customer' - that sometimes seems to work and after you have got the account it is pretty good at linking it to your login details.

Is there any good financial reason to keep this CC once the introductory rate has finished?
The credit limit will go against you as it will count toward the total income / Credit limit exposure when you apply for a new 0% BT card ?
As above, it's one of 3 overseas cards in my deck.

As to credit limits, I'm stoozing £40K out of £120K available, and having just been accepted for a £10K 0% BT card, perhaps it would be more accurate to say "might" rather than "will" go against me. ;)

But all this is way off topic.

I've just been accepted this morning, easy enough. They part which you can select a switch date said on mine the earliest is 15th Oct so I've gone with that, you can choose a later date if you want, hope this helps.
