Hi.
Not a good week food wise for me! A combination of tiredness leading to sugar cravings, and a couple of meals out seem to have knocked me completely off the wagon!
I’m away next weekend too, so it’s going to be very hard to register a loss I think.
I’m aiming to try for another STS and will count myself lucky if I achieve it!0 -
Good evening everyone
FrugalLina that sounds very lovely, and how useful to have your very own private taster :rotfl:.
Bfh sorry about your disappointing week, draw a line under it and enjoy your weekend away! Then you can come back refreshed and carry on the fight.
I’ve lost another 1 lb. Slow and steady, going in the right direction.
Made a big pot of Bolognaise today, it’s still waiting for portioning up but should be a good six meals’ worth.
Today’s scoff was:
B: porridge
S: applespinach soup, steak with mushroom, broccoli and leek, yogurt with raspberries
T: cottage cheese with celery and red pepper“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Well done Blue Doggy :T:T you are making nice steady process chipping it away a lb at a time
.
FrugalLina having your own personal taster makes you sound very posh :rotfl: hope you didn't make her taste anything horrible.
Bfh it's difficult with the colder weather and Christmas temptations to control our diet, all you can do is enjoy next weekend
Lunch with my friend yesterday was relatively goodbacon, Brie and cranberry salad, no dressing but there was a little coleslaw and a glass of wine
. Due to replacement buses part of the way home, I left a little earlier than usual so missed out on afternoon tea
. We had a really good catch up and put the world to rights
Today was spent doing the usual weekend chores, catching up on some more sewing, I've promised my sister a Christmas table runner and have been a little lapse in making it, she brought the fabric in January:whistle: I made some soup for lunches next week, lentil, sweet potato and pepper and one portion of braised celery and leek. Blue Doggy I'm tempted to make spinach soup Tuesday as I've a bag of spinach which won't get used up
B -
L - quorn goujons in a pita bread with raw spinach
D - roast beef, roast parsnip and acorn squash, braised celery, mashed swede and carrot, red cabbage with cranberries. - I managed to avoid potatoes and Yorkshire puddingjust a little oil

Never mind, Bfh, you are still here and reporting in, which shows your mind is in the right place, even if circumstances are difficult, so as soon as you can, just get right back on it. Don't forget we are here if you need someone to talk to.
Congratulations on another pound off, BlueDoggy - you are being very consistent and a pound a week is a good, healthy rate. :T
My personal taster enjoyed every minute of her task. She got to taste lots of lovely things and even enjoyed a delicious meal of battered vegan frankfurter-style sausage and chips, while I looked on hungrily!
I am glad you enjoyed your lunch out yesterday, Brambling, and well done on the sewing. You are still ahead, even if it has languished in your "to do" basket for 10 months.
Today has been a beautiful day and I got out on the bike for the first time for ages, it was very cold though. I even went on a walk as the sun was setting, it was glorious.31.5/1000 -
To Frugalina who asked, the WW app is free to download, but you have to be a logged in member, and so you get your membership by paying. Hopefully, once I'm 'gold' it will stay useable for me.
Getting on pretty well with it so far. OH is happy because I'm buying in lots of chicken and fish.
Today's plan:
B: strawberry granola, banana
L: roast skinless chicken breast sandwich on malted bread, with 4-leaf salad, cherry tomatoesout gigging, so probably a Spoons.
S: apple, clementinesKeep reading books!
July grocery challenge START: £150.
total SPENT £127.53, REMAINING £22.37.0 -
Thanks Wishus, I am glad the WW app is working for you and you are enjoying it. I think I am going to have to stick to my Excel spreadsheet and graph paper, I am a luddite, LOL. :rotfl:
As for my weigh-in, I am glad to report a 1lb loss this week - yay! :j
How's everyone else doing?31.5/1000 -
Well done FrugalLina :T another smiley face
There's nothing wrong with being a luddite mine's logged using paper and pen
and occasionally I update on my fitbit
Chocolate biscuits have appeared in the kitchen again at work  I did 'joke' with the manager about putting tempation in my wayI suppose I shouldn't complain that he is thinking of us?
B - Porridge and fruit
L - lentil and sweet potato soup
D - Beef and vegetables (left overs from yesterdays' roast dinner) I'm going out at 6.30pm so it will be a dash in feed cat and ping my dinner in the microwaveLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good evening all
Brambling glad you had a good time with your friend and avoided the temptations. I hope you manage to get your sister’s present made in time. Chocolate biscuits, what can one say? My last manager used to bring her home bakes to meetings....
FrugalLina well done on your bike ride, and walk. It’s lovely when the sun is shining and the fallen leaves are crisp and rusty. And well done on your weight loss, welcome to onederland :rotfl:.
My sewing yesterday was just a bit of mending split seams and patching the tops of a pair of comfy jeans which were wearing thin. I cannibalised a pair I hated wearing for the fabric, so win-win.
I record my weight in pencil in the central pages torn out of an ancient old cash book. I used to have a lovely computer spreadsheet with colourful charts and wizzy autocalculations, but sadly it was too wizzy for its own good and got corrupted.
Food of the day:
B: porridge, apple
L: tomato omelette with beetroot and red chicory salad (a reddy meal?)
spinach soup, Bolognaise with chopped cauliflower & broccoli, cinnamon yogurt
S: 3 small stollen “bites” and 3 small chocolate brownie bites (afternoon with friends).“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Evening All
Well done FrugalLina and Blue Doggy, excellent stuff.
Wow that chart is very inspiring, and thank you Brambling for keeping us on track xx
I had a bit of a hit and miss weekend food wise but line drawn (again) and working towards a loss (to off set the gain I'm expecting over Christmas!)
Work today, a rather hectic, queues non stop all day.
Food for today
B porridge, 1/2 milk 1/2 water, plum
L lo chilli con carne
D pasta with 2 boiled eggs, chopped bacon and cheese ( no veg I know but I'm too tired to care tonight!)
I'm a big fan of my food diary, I love a note book, pen and some stickers! I do use an app to track my weight as well but I prefer to write my food down on paper.'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess
