love the nails xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Good evening everyone
FrugalLina your new nails look very chic!I think living with longer nails takes a bit of practice (I haven’t the patience). I’m always pleased with stuffed red peppers, their sweetness enhances the fillings. It’s interesting to read other people’s menus and recipes.
Izadora Thank you. I hope the busyness at work is easing a bit, and you’re feeling more relaxed.
Brambling commiserations on the gain. It’s hard when you’ve really tried your best.Better luck next week.
dumpling how lovely to have two family celebrations in a week! Eating carefully either side of a celebratory meal is definitely damage limitation. Good luck with WW, with extra support and advice you’ll be able to prepare yourself for Christmas.
My car’s battery was flat this morning, but my lovely local garage came out, got it going and took it away for a new battery. I can’t remember when it last had a new one (it’s quite an old car ). They didn’t charge for coming out, nor for fitting the new one. :T

Just a quick note,
I am still here... December is going to be super busy though and although I have maintained my -3lbs since I popped on here last I feel like I am not going to do much more than that before Christmas. I am not disappointed in myself though , just realise that my calendar looks full of food lol.
So I am going to pull out of the challenge and maybe rejoin in January .... hopefully if I balance everything well , the same weight I am now :-)
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas if I don't check back in before then

Morning All
Sorry I have also been a bit awol, work has been super busy all week, I've not seen such long queues in our place in years.
Still happy to report a loss of -2lb not quite what I gained last week but a bit of a dent.
I'm off today and not much to do, need to pop to the post office and post some cards that need to go to America and then just housework.
Dumpling I think joking ww before Christmas is a very good idea, it will help you keep more focused over Christmas, also the joining queue afterwards is always so long. Glad your son had a good time, and cake is sometimes needed.
Love the nails FrugalLina I have never managed to have long nails, after years of biting them, I have managed to stop, but they are always short, there are a couple of girls at my work who have very long nails, and watching them type with them is skill I could never learn!
Sorry to hear about your battery Blue Doggy but what a good garage you have, mine is currently flat, due to hardly using my car now, I will eventually get my charger out, I am a dab hand now as it's gone flat so many times:o
Have a lovely Christmas Debbiedodge x
Today's meals will be
B probably scrambles eggs on toast as dh is home as well, this will do us for lunch too.
D pork chops with probably mash, I'm trying this http://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/honey-mustard-glazed-pork-loins
Later my advent chocolate with my tea :rotfl:'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Good morning all,
2 lbs off for me this week please. Still dieting under stress. The House Troll had his hair cut on Saturday and has moaned about it more or less continuously since then. Words will be had tomorrow as he wakes up in a foul mood, takes it out on me then trundles off to school to be nice to his mates. If he wants Christmas to happen he is going to have to have a shift in attitude. Aren't teenagers "interesting"?
SIRENS letting your battery go flat will warp the cells and eventually it won't be able to hold a charge at all so it's better just to start the engine and run it for a bit to save yourself the cost of a new battery.
School run time.....and I'm working 5 days in a row starting today. That'll be a challenge. Five evening meals that stay diet friendly when I come home tired, cold and sore. Starting with jacket potatoes with low fat cheese and beans tonight because we both like that.
Take care all of you0 -
Thank you Cranky I know, I mean to start it but when I get in I shut the front door and forget about it! Will try to be better.
Teenagers should definitely come with a hazard warning my 15 yo is like a simmering volcano, I have another who will be 13 next year, heaven help me.'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Thanks Molly41, I love them too, but I am a practical person and just cannot live with the inconvenience. Still, it has been a new experience for me and I am glad I gave it a go. :T
BlueDoggy, what a marvelous garage! Thanks about the nails, I don't think I have the patience either.
Have a lovely Christmas Debbiedoge, I look forward to seeing you in January.
Well done on your 2lb loss, Sirens! I can't type very well with these nails and getting dressed this morning was awful. I don't know how people do it.
Well done to you too, Cranky - especially under duress. Good luck for the 5 days ahead (with work and HT). :T31.5/1000 -
Morning All,
Well, I have absolutely no idea how (there has been a LOT of chocolate in work this week...) but I managed to lose -1lb this week.
Frugalina Your nails look lovely, I know what you mean about struggling with the length of them though. Mine rarely get that long but I get them caught on my keyboard all the time when they do. Enjoy your party tomorrow night.
Blue Doggy It sounds like you've got a very lovely garage.
Debbie Well done on maintaining your -3lb and have a lovely Christmas
Sirens Well done for the loss :T Enjoy your day off
Cranky Well done for the loss, especially when dealing with stress :T Good luck with work and the grumpy HT
We're putting our decorations up tomorrow and I can't wait. It'll be interesting to see how the cat copes with the tree though!!
Have a good weekend all xx0 -

SIRENS, Cranky and Izadora well done on your loses :T:T:T
Debbie have a great Christmas and we will see you next year
Love the nails FrugalLlina, I'm another one who can't live with them, it's a skill which seems to have passed me by  that and walking in 4 inch stilettos :rotfl: Enjoy the party
I suggest you self medicate with G&Ts Cranky if you use slimline tonic it's not too bad you youJust 5 more years of teenager to put up with
I'm afraid that I have not been good following my gain I've stupidy had a 'well if i gain weight not eating it I'm going to eat it' couple of days with the cakes and mince pies in the kitchen at work  I'm not in the office now until Wednesday so I'll have to try and be good at home, the pack of chocolate biscuits which found their way into my shopping basket are now unopened at work and will be added to the tin as i walk out of the door, they will be finished by Wednesday
B - Porridge and fruit
L - roasted squash, leek and goats cheese risotto (LO from last night) very nice, probably because of the butter used to soften the leeks
D - Not sure yet I've nothing out of the freezer so it will either be bacon and egg or cod fillet and HM chips with veg - depends on how the mood takes me
S - too many things I shouldn't eatLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0
