Old Style Weight Loss 2019 Part 4

Hi All
As we've decided that we'd like a new thread for each part of our 2019 challenge I've started a new one for the 4th quarter. I haven't posted the links to previous challenges either - we're all capable of looking them up by title if we want them.
Please feel free to start posting your weight loss goals for the next challenge which will run from the 1st of October until the 31st of December (14 weeks). Although I'm sure most of us will only do it for 13 weeks
You do not have to submit a loss or gain for the first week as it's our starting week, you can post your first loss or gain the week after on a day of your choice.
As usual everyone is welcome - we support and encourage, we don't judge
There are some useful links to help your weight loss journey found on the previous challenge
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5984457/old-style-weight-loss-2019-part-2&page=25 :-
Please send me your targets if you are setting one and Good Luck

Thank you Brambling for setting up part 4.
I have set myself the goal of 11 lbs loss by the end of the year, please can you put me down for this.0 -
Hi,
Thanks for starting this up brambling. I'm aiming for 1.5lb a week which comes out at just under 20lb... so I declare a 20lb target for this quarter and I'll report my weight on a Sunday I think, to get my badges!! Gosh, looks a lot and feels a bit daunting. I'll do it a bite at a timeand I'll try my level best.
Thanks everyone.A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks0 -
Thanks for the new thread Brambling, I weighed myself this morning and it was another STS to end the 3rd quarter (sigh)
So I think for the next stage I'm going to WI on a Friday as the weekends tend to be the times when I'm most likely to be in company, indulge in alcohol/snacks/restaurant food and I could perhaps limit the damage by the next WI day if I had a few days to play with :rotfl:
Can you put me down for 9lbs please that will take me down to 10.5 stone which is just into the "healthy weight" range for someone of my height.
B - overnight oats & a pear
L - hummus, not so crusty, crusty bread, grapes
D - mushroom stroganoff, boiled rice & broccoliJan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £72.120 -
Thanks Brambling, I shall aim for an ambitious 26lbs to the end of the year, an average of 2lb a week. That will bring me into onederland, which would be a great "youknowwhat" (not saying the C word) present to myself :idea:31.5/1000

Hello :hello: may I join, please? Thank you for the friendly threads, Brambling.
I’ve got 2 stone to lose, and need some support. I lost 2 stone quite quickly in 2017, then paused to settle at the new weight. I’d planned to try to lose more last year, but sadly lost a very dear friend that Spring, and in the Summer had some family gatherings which were very nice but not weight-loss friendly.
I’ve managed not to regain more than 7lbs, and am stable(ish!) at this weight, but my recent health check showed dodgy blood pressure so I must get back on the wagon.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Thank you for the new thread and for all your hard work keeping us in line Brambling
I'd like to aim for 16lb please, I lost my way a bit on the last quarter but I'm back on track.

Welcome Blue Doggy  you're find us a lovely supportive group. Did you want to add a target for the challenge?
Lovely to see so many continuing the journey this quarter. You've inspired me to up my target to 12lbs this time and maybe I might get there  no holiday booked, so I might make it
I need your supportive kick up the **** if I start to fall off the wagon

Thank you for your kind welcome, Brambling.
Please put me down for 14 lbs loss to start with, there’s a lot of well-established [STRIKE]lard[/STRIKE] chunkiness to lose from here on down.
Best wishes and good luck to all.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️
