    Hello x
Still hobbling around but am managing a bit more activity. Going for my hair colour and cut absolutely can't wait as with being ill have let it go.
    Keep positive x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Thanks Brambling, every lb counts. I am glad I am not the only Luddite, doing things the old-fashioned way.

Stay away from the chocolate biscuits! :rotfl:

Thanks BlueDoggy, I hope I lose more than 1lb next week, but a loss is a loss and I will take it. :T

My Excell spreadsheet has wizzy auto-calculations too, I hope it doesn't get corrupted.

Thanks Sirens - ooh stickers - what a great idea!

Great you are up and around Molly41, enjoy your hair appointment. :)

I have a busy day today, will pop back later though!

Very close to a Spoons last night - went for a Hungry Horse, so had dressed classic salad, topped with roast chicken and a jacket potato. That did me very well indeed.

Gig was very late so no time to make lunh today, I've done:
    B: Strawberry granola and banana
    L Chicken Terriyaki Subway
D: Going for bolognese made with turkey mince.
    S: clementines, apple.

FrugalLina I’m sure you’ll soon be back in multi-pound losing mode :).

    Good evening everyone :hello:

Today has been my youngest child's birthday. He is 17 now and he wanted a little tea party for us all and the grandchildren. I tried to make the food but my wretched legs were buckling so my lovely hubby took over.

I didn't weigh in this week as I forgot and then it was our anniversary and I had a big steak dinner :o. Today isn't any better as although I was careful about choosing breakfast and lunch, tea was definitely beige. I also had a piece of birthday cake so I feel a bit sick now. I am looking forward to eating healthily tomorrow.

I am glad to read about all your successes and even if you are struggling, I appreciate your honesty. Weight loss is hard, especially this time of year.

I am thinking of joining our local WW group, I have an online account but I feel I would get a lot out of actually going to a meeting and being weighed by someone else. Would I be crazy joining up just before Christmas?
  • Wishus, I love Spoons as they calorie count their foods and the vegan options are great. I haven't tried a Hungry Horse yet, it sounds like it had healthy options, which is always great when eating out. ;)

Yes, BlueDoggy, we are a tad quiet, I had another busy day, but at least it kept me from nibbling. Your stuffed red pepper sounds lovely, I may have to try that myself. Heh, just added peppers to the shopping list, so I will have that next week. I love all the ideas I get on here! :A

Dumpling, it sounds like you have had a lovely time with family and food is always around at those events, so don't worry about a bit too much beige, getting back to healthy eating again will restore your equilibrium and get you back to weight loss again. I think now is a great time to join WW as it will help you over the most challenging part of the year - go for it, I say! :)

Tomorrow I finally get my nails done, yay! :T

    How's everyone else doing?

Evening all just a quick update as it's late and I'm just home :). I'm reporting a +1lb gain this week which I'm not happy about  as I thought I had eaten the same as last week. I've had my moment of sulking and tomorrow is another day

Dumpling I agree with FrugalLina go for it, it may help you to be careful at Christmas rather than eating too much, I find 1st January diets don't work for me. You have three weeks to lose a little more. You're allowed to eat on anniversaries and family birthday :)

    B - porridge and fruit
L - braised celery soup and pack of crisp
    D - omelette and chips
S - grapes, fibre one bar

    Morning All,
Sorry for the quietness over the past few days. It's partly due to being busy (I work in billing so the beginning of the month is always hectic) but also due to being in a foul mood so keeping myself very much to myself for the safety of all around me :D

Blue Doggy and Frugalina Well done on the losses :T

Brambling Sorry about the gain and well done for only having a moment of sulking

Bfh Cold and tired always makes it harder to eat sensibly. Good luck with achieving a STS and I hope you enjoy your weekend away.

Sirens Don't worry about the hit and miss weekend, it's still a big improvement on my miss and miss one... Well done for planning ahead to mitigate the effect of all of the festive food that's around at the moment.

Molly I hope you enjoyed your trip to the hairdresser, freshly cut and coloured hair is always a nice feeling.

Wishus I've never been to a Hungry Horse but that sounds like a really nice pub dinner

Frugalina Enjoy having your nails done. I keep meaning to do something with mine but they keep breaking so are really short at the moment.

Dumpling I agree with Frugalina and Brambling. Joining WW now, rather than in the January rush, should help to get you through the festive feasts healthily. It sounds like you had a lovely tea party for your son's birthday and a beige dinner every now and then is okay but best of luck for getting back to healthy eating today.
  • Sorry about the gain, Brambling, hopefully you will have a big loss next week to make up for it.

Izadora, wishing you all the best for this hectic period at work.

Here are my nails, they are a tad too long, doing anything is really difficult, I will probably file them down after Saturday night's party. :o
