Well done Blue Doggy :T. I don't think I updated the chart last night, I'm sure if I had I would have posted but to appease my meno-brain should that be 6lbs in total
hi sillyvixon  sometimes it takes a health warning for us to do something  I miss my 2miles walking each way to work, but redundancy 6 years ago means a 12.5 mile drive to work. I have to make an effort now where previous I got in 4 miles a day regardless of the weather. Carry on the good workLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
I'm just popping on to say that I have lost 17lb this week! I am totally amazed and thankful. I know I have reached my target so can I add another 14lb to it so I have something to aim for before Christmas. Thank you xx0 -
Wow dumpling well done xxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Just a quick post
Hi and welcome sillyvixen, you're doing terrifically well. Do keep us up to date.
bluedoggy that's excellent! Nice steady loss over the last month. :j
dumpling I'm speechless!! That is superb news and must be such a boost for you. :j
Today's food:
Grapefruit. sirens' lemon chicken, leeks and mangetout. Banana and hm yogurt.
The car was just a stuck stick that must have been bobbing in the water. It was in the bit that joins the steering wheel to the wheels (clearly I have my nvq in car anatomy). Dad pulled it out. I put my purse away, breathed a sigh of relief, and resolved to go the long way round in future.
Have a good day everyoneA bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks0 -
Morning All,
So many posts to catch up on!!
Hello to the newbies, welcome back Dumpling (and wow, that's an amazing loss!!), I hope the poorlies are feeling better and well done TTB & Blue Doggy for the losses.
It sounds like there was quite a lot going on over the weekend, I hope everyone enjoyed it. Mine was quite hectic as I worked for a couple of hours Saturday morning and then had to run a couple of errands and pop into to town to pick up a friend's birthday present before getting a train to go to drinks at her place. The running around meant I hadn't eaten very much before I left so I ended up grabbing a sandwich at the station and then had beer, about 6 tonne of crisps and cake (which I'd made on Friday) at my friend's. Yesterday was a lot more sensible, Quorn bacon and mushroom sarnie for brunch and a roast for dinner, so hopefully I'll manage to keep slightly more on track this week.
Best of luck everyone.0 -
Well done on another 1lb BlueDoggy, you are doing great! Doing brilliantly on the cooking front as well, it pays to be organised. :j
Hi SillyVixen, there comes a time when our weight impacts our health, but it sounds like you are on the right track and you will be much better soon. It is surprising how quickly our bodies recover.
Wow, Dumpling, just wow - well done! :A
Tighteningthebelt, I am glad your car wasn't damaged after all and that your dad removed the stick. :rotfl:
Well, I am still freezing, but trying to keep busy while I wait to hear from the boiler man.
I can report a loss of 2lbs this week, yay! :T
Hi Izadora, you posted while I was writing mine!31.5/1000 -
Happy Monday, hope you all have a nice weekend. It was a lovely one spent with family for us.
Well done all those of you who have lost and those who haven't keep on going, every small step makes a difference.
I've STS this week. Went for my first run in 3 weeks on Saturday and on the whole have been pretty in control of food, although we did have some treats at the weekend.
We've a couple of busy weeks coming up. A trip to London for me for work tomorrow evening and Wednesday. This week we're off out to a Christmas market on Thursday and then for a meal. Friday I am setting up for selling at a festive market over the weekend and we have decided to treat ourselves to fish and chips on Friday night with a voucher we won at a raffle a while back.
The weekend will be busy with the Christmas market both days, hopefully a successful weekend and hopefully fairly on track food wise too. There's a lovely farm shop very close to the market venue so we'll be popping there for some lovely fresh fruit and veg and other bits after on Saturday.0 -
Hey Dumpling! I too had a huge operation this year and it does mess around with what you can and cannot tolerate foodwise for a while. I hope it gets easier but well done on the loss.
Great news on your improved health, Sillyvixen.
Very much enjoyed my very fresh bread butty yesterday. The bread was so fluffy! I made another loaf overnight, but as that was on the longer programme it doesn't seem quite so wow for some reason.
I ended up having veggie pasta with pesto to save the prawns and noodles for another night, as OH got surprised with free tickets to an amazing rock concert of a band we loved the early stuff of- just the one ticket, so I stayed at home to catch up with work.
Plan today, gigging tonight, so have:
B: porridge
L: bacon sandwich and cherry tomatoes.post-gig rice and lentil dahl.
S: banana, apple, and will probably need something small pre-gig. Have to go to the supermarket after work. Maybe a salad pot on offer, or some malt loaf.Keep reading books!

Frugalina Well done on the loss and I hope the boiler man turns up soon.
s_glover Well done for the STS and going for a run. I really should start couch to 5k again but I keep putting it off. It does sound like you've got quite a lot coming up, but the Christmas markets sound great.
wishus I hope your OH enjoyed the concert and you didn't mind too much about not being able to go. Best of luck for tonight's gig.0 -
