Ahh, BlueDoggy, that is a great idea with the yogurts, I shall try it as I am rather addicted to cinnamon. Congratulations on the new great-nephew!
Wishus, free lunch is always good!
Tighteningthebelt, aw, Dave sounds lovely. My current cat is D'arcy (I didn't name her, that was the name she came with from the cat rescue place and as she had 4 homes before me, I didn't have the heart to change her name again, so D'arcy it is).
I was the same sleep-wise last night, I just couldn't get to sleep, argh!
Sirens, I am so glad you are on the mend, but what a pain about the PE kit.
I am off into town to buy myself a popcorn maker (and run some errands), this is my last ditch attempt to have some healthy snacks on a Saturday night, if this doesn't work, then I shall have to pass it on to one of the kids.
The weather is not so nice now.31.5/1000 -
Glad you are better, Dumpling and back with us!31.5/1000

Good evening everyone
.
FrugalLina thank youenjoy the cinnamon yogurt! I do hope your new popcorn maker pops the corn properly for you this time.
dumpling it’s very good to see you back with us and feeling so much better :T Losing your taste for chocolate seems like a very useful side-effect.
SIRENS I’m glad you’re on the mend from your lurgy :T I hope you were able to enjoy your unexpected walk, and the shop had the P.E. bits you needed.
tighteningthebelt your yogurt incubator sounds good. I hope you’ll enjoy it with the cinnamon. I used to make my own with an EasiYo flask, but after not making it for a while I’ve found it won’t make proper yogurt unless I use the EasiYo mixes, which none of the local shops sells. The last lot went so wrong that the solids had to
strained for a green cheese, and the whey went into the freezer for future soda bread or scones.
Dave the Brave sounds a great name for your cat!Hope you get better sleep tonight.
wishus How did your gig go today? I hope your travel wasn’t affected by the weather.
Brambling get well soon!
My new little great-nephew is delightful! A real little poppet and just starting to smile. :A:A:A I offered to run away with him, but for some reason his parents thought not :rotfl:
So, today’s food actually was
B: bacon and eggs (had already been eaten when I last posted)
L: 2 Cumberland sausages with onions, a big salad and coleslaw. (They came in a baguette, but I brought that home).rooty soup with the baguette toasted (probably better for the toasting!), a warm scone with a teaspoonful of strawberry jam, and some fat-free yogurt

Hi Cakeguts you're welcome to join us just post when you want, I'll even add a Kg section for you. Well done on the two stone lost so far and beating the diabetes, my BIL did the same he left the dr and went home and then lost 2.5 stone as instructed
FrugalLina the red cabbage should have a little cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg (I had no cloves) so Christmas spices with the cranberries
Blue Doggy how nice a new baby in the family, my youngest great nephews are 12 now, but my oldest great niece gets married next year and my niece tells me she is getting broody
Wishus you seem very busy with your gigs, you must be good :T
Sirens is your DS a teenager? One PE kit a month could work out expensive
My lurgy is unfortunately developing, fully blocked nose and no taste at all, unfortunately it's not effected my appetite I just can't taste it. I haven't done much today a little bit of cooking and catchup tv. I took a chicken carcass from the freezer and made chicken soup for lunch. Had to stop myself from over salting it. I also needed to cook a beef cheek and pork fillet I had taken out of the freezer. I made four portions of beef ragu in the pressure cooker which I have frozen to help replace all the meals I have taken out of the freezer this week. I made a pork and mushroom stroganoff to use up the pork and some sad mushrooms which I had with LO green veg for dinner, but no rice

Nah, it’s all good exercise, and exercise is part of a diet regime, and if our fingers are busy typing they’re not picking up cakes or other edibles.
How lovely to hear of your great-niece’s wedding. It sounds as though your great-aunting muscles will be called into play again soon, then.
You’ve had a very productive cooking session, well done. A freezer full of HM meals is a great asset in wintertime. I hope your cold will be better soon, take good care of yourself.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Hello everyone,
I'm a constant returner and trier on this thread..... but you've got to keep trying right.
I'm trying very hard to stick with plain old fashioned calorie counting and although I understand I am late, I would love to join in please.
I would like to lose 1 stone by Christmas ... could you put me down for 14lbs goal please. Using My Fitness Pal and a little common sense. Not much exercise as I've hurt my foot so resting it at the moment, But I walk and stay active as much as I can.
When do we weigh in ? (If not a certain day then I will weigh in every Sunday)
Hope I can join you all x0 -
debbiedodge hi!! Welcome!!
Reporting in with a 3lb loss this week. I think one of the lbs is from last week, just late to the party!!
I have reigned it in with what I am drinking in the day, and that might have helped, we will see. Mostly I have hot water, with an occasional sf ribena winter spice which I make to a homeopathic dilution!!
Dads the chef for tonight, so that'll be corned beef hash with a mountain of pickled red cabbage. Fruit for pudding.
I've got a terrible groaning on my suspension after driving through flood water yesterday. I'm hoping it will have dried out overnight. It's an old car. Fingers crossed - while knowing I'm lucky compared to some. Hope everyone here is safe and dry.
Enjoy your Sundays.A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it

Hello everyone!
Yes, my gig went very well indeed. Banana got squashed on the way to the station, and my early train was cancelled, so I had a Starbucks hot chocolate for the next train to warm up, and ate my lunch on the 2nd train to the gig. One of the other speakers had made banana muffins, so I had one of those. I got back home, met my husband in the pub, but he was rather reluctant to leave until very late so I agreed to divert in the rain to the kebab shop and had a chicken shish, which my old WW leader had recommended as a healthier choice when stuck in that kind of takeaway or starve scenario. Fitbit says it's all just about fine, as I did 17000 steps.
Dumpling happy to meet you, hope you are recovering well.
debbiedodge1737 I don't know, but I'd like to make mine Wednesdays. I took 'a' start weight this Wednesday gone, meaning I'll first report any loss or gain next Wednesday. I always used to be a Monday weigher, but I think psychologically Wednesday is better for me.
Plan today, involves a family visit with offer of tea and cake.
I'm just making a fresh loaf of bread and OH is having a lie-in. The sad remains of his kebab are in the fridge, but I shall do us a bacon breakfast brunch soon.
B: bacon butties
