I've put a stop to the takeaway pizzas - mainly because I'm not keen on pizza
Well done on the weight loss :j and it's great to have you back. You have such a busy life.
wishus that sounds good fun. Hope your new material goes down well. I can imagine the first time must be a bit daunting.
izadora you made me remember something funny. You know how kids show you up. Well, when my son was about six he went to the cinema with his friend and their family. When they got to the pick n mix my son earnestly told his friend's dad he was only allowed two gobstoppers and that he had to make them last the whole film. :embarasse Oh, the shame!A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks0 -
Well I have well and truly been off the wagon over the last few weeks. I had 4 good days a couple of weeks ago but otherwise it's been a complete shambles, hence my absence on here. I really should have kept popping in and making myself accountable but it was just easier to avoid, so apologies to you all.
Weigh in yesterday revealed a 4lb gain so I really need to get to grips with the situation because I've absolutely no excuse not to!
Well done everyone who has made some losses in the last few weeks.0 -
Good evening, everyone
.
s_glover glad you came back. I find posting here helps me think before I eat (as Izadora says), even if I eat the wrong things sometimes
.
tighteningthebelt your son must be of the same mindset as the daughter of a friend who wrote in her primary school diary “Mummy likes her gin”. Blushes all round!
Izadora I know what you mean about overeating for emotional reasons. I overeat, or eat the wrong things, when I’m feeling stressed; I know I shouldn’t, but I do. I hope IzHe will be better soon.
wishus I hope your performance went well. You’re very brave :T.
CRANKY40 good to see you again.Well done on the weight loss!
Today I ate:
B: porridge
L: ham & egg salad (fennel, tomato &olives), cinnamon yogurtmackerel &cucumber salad, steak with broccoli, carrots &leek, cherries with yogurt.

Evening All
Well done FrugalLina and Cranky on the losses.
Not to worry about the gain s_glover, I'm sure you will loose that in no time, some weeks are just harder to get into. I had a sneaky peek of the scales today and it was not looking good, but I shall suck it up and step on them properly tomorrow as I know I was badly behaved over the weekend.
My quiet day of work came back to bite me on Monday as it was heaving and all our cash machine spent the day in and out of service, it was chaos. Today was equally hectic, but that was more to do with lack of staff as all overtime has been cut and we are struggling. We shall see what tomorrow brings I guess.
Today's meals
Nutty shredded wheat with nat yog and banana
L pasta and campfire stew, apple
D jacket pot and cheese with a lovely salad, hubby has finally embraced healthier eating as he was off today, I came home to dinner on the table...such a luxury!'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Hello x
Frugalina - well done on the loss x
Im itching to get started as I have 3 stone to lose but appreciate it best to wait !
Im upping my activity and have more stamina so in a better position to start.
Ive noticed that if i brush my teeth early evening Im not tempted to nibble and just drink water wondered if it might be a strategy for other folks to try x
Kind Regards x
It would just make me want After-eights.0 -
Well done on your 1lb Cranky :T. I like to visit London occasionally but I'm always glad to get home and I only live a hour train journey away
S_glover I've been known to not only fall off the wagon but to watch it disappear into the distance as well, all too many times since I was a teenager. All we can do is keep plodding along trying our best, if it was easy we would all be size 10
. Lovely to have you back
I'm also a emotional eater, unfortunately i eat for every emotion good or bad, food was a treated as a reward when I was growing up, money was really tight with very few treats therefore if there was a small amount of extra money there would be something 'naughty' sometimes as simple as a Lardy cake from the village bakery with the Saturday bread order.
As you can see I'm avoiding the pizza in the room. I succumbed to a pizza last night and 'forgot ' to order the one with the middle cut out served with salad, which I regretted after I had eaten it. My nephew made a chocolate cake and my small slice was not that small, he told me it is what I serve him when he asks for a small slice  it's family thing none of us know the meaning of 'just a small piece' oh well done now but I've eaten far too much wheat this week and I'm definitely feeling a little off because of it
.
Nothing wrong with liking gin Blue Doggy, the teacher probably needed it after a week teaching :rotfl:
Izadora i hope IsHe keeps his germs to himself and doesn't over share
B-porridge and fruit
L - HM lentil, sweet potato and bacon soup from the freezer and crackers
D- Gnocchi and white beans baked in a tomato and veggie sauce also from the freezer, label said lamb shanks so a little surprising. I made the mistake of rushing and eating before tai chi so I'm now suffering from indigestion I think I need to take a light snack to eat at 4ish , if I don't eat I rumble in the quiet moments

molly41 you are doing so well, and slow and steady wins the race.
brambling dying to know the outcome of the pizza dilemma!
Todays food - hm quiche with jacket, mangetout and cabbage. Stewed plums (saw some reduced yesterday and bought two packs, so there will be a plum theme this week!!) with hm yogurt.
I've been a bit slack on drinking this last week, sneaking cups of tea into fasting times. So I'm going to redouble my efforts. I worked out it's because I wasnt fancying cold drinks now its gloomy weather, then I worked out I can easily drink warm water!! Another little problem solved.
Some people drink tea or coffee while fasting and they dont notice a difference, so ,maybe you could try it and change back if your losses are affected?0 -
Good morning all,
Sorry that I've been missing. It's been a busy couple of weeks. I did all my work shifts at the end of one week then the beginning of the next to have some time off over half term with the House Troll. I was shattered and then the day after my last shift we went to London for the day. The House Troll bought lots of new clothes, I bought some earrings and some t-shirts. we had a good time but when we arrived back at Euston all the trains home were delayed due to an earlier signal failure. We did get home more or less on time but on an earlier train that was delayed until the time that our original train should have left.
After London we went to visit my best friend in Sheffield to collect the gaming pc that he and one of his team at work had built for the HT. It's a joint Christmas and birthday present from me and best friend. It would have cost a lot more if it hadn't been put together by friends.
I haven't slept very well this last 2 weeks so I thought I'd sleep well on Sunday night - I was wrong. I thought I'd do the food shopping and go back to bed for a couple of hours - also wrong as I had a phone call from school to say could I collect the HT and clean him up - he'd fallen in mud. By the time I'd returned a clean child to school I'd given up on the sleep idea so I did a bit of housework then took the HT and his best friend out for the HT's birthday tea (he was 15 yesterday).
Anyway, even after all that I've somehow managed to be able to record 1 lb off today. We're back to cooking and eating properly now too, although I did cook while we were in Sheffield - I've put a stop to the takeaway pizzas - mainly because I'm not keen on pizza. I haven't had a chance to read back yet either. I'll try and do that tonight after work. I did finally sleep well last night but I'll still be too tired to do much later I think.
Take care all of you
Your House Troll's school sounds a lot more understanding than mine was. I remember falling in the river in my dinner hour and the headmaster told me it was my own stupid fault and I squelched around all day. :rotfl:
Sorry everyone for the series of single me me me posts. I dont know what is going on with my multiquoting at the moment, but its gone haywire.0 -

Never mind, S Glover. I think i will be joining you in the gaining camp this week.
I have had a non stop stress eating festival recently, ( bullying colleague situation) and cant exercise at the moment which makes things worse.
But it doesnt affect loss in the long term. Each "Fail" is an opportunity to learn from it and manage it better next time.
If we do it gradually, with all the ups and downs, we have got a really good chance of the weight staying off.0
