Well done Blue Doggy. :T. Maybe ginger syrup is a weight loss secret :rotfl:

Well done on the loss Tighteningthebelt .
FrugalLina sounds like a delicious meal, I have never tried cauliflower rice either, might have to give it a try.
Today we had a roast dinner, Sunday is the only day I don't worry so much about careful eating, it is also the only day we have a proper pudding. Today I have baked apples cooking in the oven, they smell delicious all cinnamony! So we will have that with some vanilla ice cream, then tomorrow back to normal.
I have noticed that the pre-made cauliflower rice in shops costs a fortune for a teeny tiny bit. :eek:Well done Tighteningthebelt :T:T lovely to see all your smiles on the chart
Sirens I'm glad the tablets seem to be working for your DH I'm assuming you're also keeping his diet in check
Im not sure about cauliflower rice on its own, must try it mixed with brown rice
I'm back on my own which maybe just as well as she is a bad influence  as much as I love my sister I'm glad to have my house backand as the cat is a timid wee beastie with people he's happy as well, luckily he's good with fireworks and barely twitched an ear when they started again just now at least the big displays have now finished as two are very close to us.
I've done very little today after my BIL collected my sis, (I did send him back with the chocolate biscuits) after doing the washing I may have had a unexpected nap after lunch
which is unusual for me and unfortunately meant I didn't get around to soup making for lunches so the freezer will be raided next week as I'm out most evenings so can't catch up
Food today has involved way too much toast which I may regret later  but at least the bread is now gone
B -
L - sardines on toast
D - cheesy beans on toast, cooked apple and blackberries (I avoided making a crumble :A)
S - chocolate
It's my other sister's birthday tomorrow so pizza e*press for dinner, any tips for a lighter option?Blue_Doggy wrote: »Good evening, people!
SIRENS Mmmmmm! Baked apples... yum!!! Very good news about your dh’s blood pressure improvement.
tighteningthebelt congratulations! Well done on another loss :j. I hope you had a good day for your garden tidying.
FrugalLina thank you, Junior Doggy is not afraid of fireworks but likes to protest at things out of the ordinary. I hope Sainsbury’s not selling fireworks this year will be the start of it calming down. Well done on your bike ride, and on the cauliflower rice. I have taken to replacing pasta with chopped cauliflower, and it works well, but I don’t make ‘proper’ cauliflower rice.
Brambling it’s lovely when friends or family visit, but equally lovely when they go. A happy cat is a glorious thing. Regretfully no pizza tips, but hope you have a lovely time.
All quiet in Doggyland this evening, just a few distant bangs.
I’m very happy to report a loss of 1 lb despite the ginger syrup.
Food today was:
B: plain porridge and an appletomato salad, grilled steak with leek, carrot and broccoli, yogurt with cherries (which were lurking in the back of the freezer).
T: ham salad, cinnamon yogurt.
Well done on the pound off :T
And well done Tightening the belt too. :j (i seem to have messed up the quotes.)
I had a mini triumph.
Oat bran.
Egg chips and beans.
ONE mince pie. the other remains untouched.0 -

Honey it's a lot cheaper to blitz the cauliflower into rice yourself or I have seen it grated. I'm not sure if they put anything onto the pre-rice cauliflower to preserve it?Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0

honeythewitch you do better than me, I cant even do multiple quotes in one post!!
sirens your Sunday dinner sounds lovely and good news the BP is heading in the right direction.
frugalina I never have much success with popcorn either. Prob for the best!
molly41 hope you are both rested and your new clothes fit
bluedoggy another good loss... superb. :jA bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks0 -
You can buy frozen cauliflower rice, which I am considering because a whole head of cauliflower is a lot for one person (although I will probably eat it as normal cauliflower over the next couple of days). It was easy to grate it and looked the part.
Oh, actually, now I am wondering if I can just make my own frozen rice. I can do portions of normal brown rice too.
Brambling, my pizza tip is to request one without cheese. Just as delicious and without a lot of calories, especially if it is a thin crust. It is my favourite as I am not really a fan of vegan cheese and consider it wasted calories.
Honeythewitch, well done on your triumph! :T
BlueDoggy, well done on the 1lb off, yay! :j:j
Sirens, I like your Sunday foods, I shall be doing a roast next weekend and mmmm, now I fancy making the apples for the sweet. Great idea! :drool:31.5/1000 -
Morning all
Declaring my food for today -
Cheese scone and butter out with friend. Fennel and aubergine bake with a few mushrooms in, small potato cake, jelly and grapes.
Edited to add; didn't make the potato cakes as I didn't fancy it. Otherwise correct.
Have a good day everyoneA bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it

Hello x
Frugalina - well done on the loss x
Im itching to get started as I have 3 stone to lose but appreciate it best to wait !
Im upping my activity and have more stamina so in a better position to start.
Ive noticed that if i brush my teeth early evening Im not tempted to nibble and just drink water wondered if it might be a strategy for other folks to try x
Kind Regards xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
