Well done @Frugalina!
Yesterday was bonfire party day. Watched the council display from a friend's garden which looks over the park. He had cooked a feast, so had a bit of pumpkin and coconut curry and rice, and then a bit of chilli, then Fitbit said put the spoon down! My low calorie tipple was Rochester Dark Ginger, topped up with diet lemonade. Perfect for a school night party.
B: scrambled egg and bacon with cocktail tomatoes
L: 1 prawn sandwich, 1 brie and grape (hubby and I split yellow sticker bargains from the night before, yeah, definitely not having the full brie one, which would have been 600 calories!)crown prince pumpkin curry and rice, beef chilli
I've defrosted some homemade butter bean and mushroom burgers for tonight. Wondering what to have with them...Keep reading books!

Thank you tighteningthebelt, Molly41 and Wishus
:):)
I think you are doing really well Molly with your recovery, it is wise to be patient.
Wishus, I am very jealous of your Crown Prince pumpkin, mine is still roughly the size of a cricket ball and not likely to grow any further. I planted 3 and this is all I got, they took forever to get started and the weather now isn't very good for them.:(
Also, those butter bean and mushroom burgers sound good. What should you have with them? Me, LOL! :rotfl:31.5/1000 -

I decided to have veggie cous cous with my bean burger in the end, as I had so much to do and my bus was late back. Cous cous is nice and easy! Cheeky splodge of BBQ sauce in the side. Very studenty. Recipe for the burger is basically the same as Jack Monroe's, except butter beans instead of red kidney beans, mushrooms instead of carrots and soy sauce instead of cumin.
Today's plan: performing tonight after work.
B: porridge
L: tuna nicoise rice salad. Rice cooked with grated courgette and a stock cube, cooled, and then olives, cherry tomatoes, sweetcorn, tuna and quartered boiled egg added. I did have green beans, but forgot!hubby brought home a YS chicken sandwich. I'll eat mine on the way to the show. I'll probably have a peanut butter toastie when I get back too.
S: satsuma, yoghurt.Keep reading books!

wishus your lunch salad sounds premium! What performing do you do, if you dont mind me asking?
molly41 you are doing so well, and slow and steady wins the race.
brambling dying to know the outcome of the pizza dilemma!
Todays food - hm quiche with jacket, mangetout and cabbage. Stewed plums (saw some reduced yesterday and bought two packs, so there will be a plum theme this week!!) with hm yogurt.
I've been a bit slack on drinking this last week, sneaking cups of tea into fasting times. So I'm going to redouble my efforts. I worked out it's because I wasnt fancying cold drinks now its gloomy weather, then I worked out I can easily drink warm water!! Another little problem solved.A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks0 -
Good morning all,
Sorry that I've been missing. It's been a busy couple of weeks. I did all my work shifts at the end of one week then the beginning of the next to have some time off over half term with the House Troll. I was shattered and then the day after my last shift we went to London for the day. The House Troll bought lots of new clothes, I bought some earrings and some t-shirts. we had a good time but when we arrived back at Euston all the trains home were delayed due to an earlier signal failure. We did get home more or less on time but on an earlier train that was delayed until the time that our original train should have left.
After London we went to visit my best friend in Sheffield to collect the gaming pc that he and one of his team at work had built for the HT. It's a joint Christmas and birthday present from me and best friend. It would have cost a lot more if it hadn't been put together by friends.
I haven't slept very well this last 2 weeks so I thought I'd sleep well on Sunday night - I was wrong. I thought I'd do the food shopping and go back to bed for a couple of hours - also wrong as I had a phone call from school to say could I collect the HT and clean him up - he'd fallen in mud. By the time I'd returned a clean child to school I'd given up on the sleep idea so I did a bit of housework then took the HT and his best friend out for the HT's birthday tea (he was 15 yesterday).
Anyway, even after all that I've somehow managed to be able to record 1 lb off today. We're back to cooking and eating properly now too, although I did cook while we were in Sheffield - I've put a stop to the takeaway pizzas - mainly because I'm not keen on pizza. I haven't had a chance to read back yet either. I'll try and do that tonight after work. I did finally sleep well last night but I'll still be too tired to do much later I think.
Take care all of you0 -

I do all sorts, but tonight it's just a new material stand-up night. No, I'm not quite ready for Live at the Apollo yet!:) Got some storytelling/spoken word lined up later in the week. I describe my life as plate-spinning, but I can't actually spin plates.Keep reading books!

I had yesterday off work so have just about caught up with posts from the weekend - sorry if I miss anyone...
Wishus Hi :hello: Your bonfire party sounds like it was good fun and I might have to try the bean burgers, they sound delicious.
Blue Doggy Well done on the loss :T And I hope you and junior doggy have recovered from the fireworks.
Honey Very well done on sticking to one mince pie :T
Tighteningthebelt Well done on another loss :T and don't worry, you don't sound like a stalker.
It's weird and annoying because I know that I'm perfectly capable of dieting, I know exactly what I need to do and I seem entirely unable to do it at the moment. I'm very much an emotional over-eater and life's not been easy recently so I'm finding getting into a dieting head space a real struggle at the moment. Coming here does help though and makes me more aware of what I'm eating - even though I'm so far off plan at the moment that it's ridiculous I'm still not quite at the level of bingeing that I often reach.
Brambling I'm glad you've got your house back and I hope you enjoyed last night's dinner.
Frugalina Well done on the loss :T Your Sunday feast sounds delicious and very healthy
Molly I'm glad you enjoyed your shopping trip and there's no need to rush things. It's much better to start when you're ready.
Sirens I'm glad your husband's blood pressure is coming down and I hope you've recovered from your non-busy day at work. My work tends to come in fits and starts and it really makes time drag if I've not got much to do.
Cranky Well done on the loss :T It sounds like you've had a busy time of it!!
My long weekend was good but somewhat different from planned as IzHe came down with a stinking cold on Friday so we couldn't travel down to see his family. On the plus side, it meant I could make my friend's birthday drinks on Saturday
Fortunately he felt better enough to enjoy the day off yesterday but it ended up involving pick'n'mix and cake0
