Old Style Weight Loss 2019 Part 4

  • Today...

Danish blue cheese and onion butty with salad. Yogurt.

    Pasta cheese and pesto. Apple.

I have been in bed all day apart from a quick dash to Lidl and to the doctors to (not)get a prescription that they got wrong. Again. The doctor had done a bunk so I have to wait until tomorrow.
Meanwhile, I am left without medication for Trigeminal Neuralgia, so I have had to sit quietly with a scarf around my head trying not to trigger it.
Honestly, you could write a sitcom based around my doctors! :D

I have passed the time looking at american dieting blogs on youtube, especially the WW ones.
I was intrigued because they all seemed to be going wild for "coffee creamer" and i had no idea what it was.
It turned out to be plain old "Coffeemate" :rotfl: Although it seems that the USA have it in different flavours, such as pumpkin spice.
  • You did really well there, Blue Doggy, eating out is so difficult, but that sounds just perfect - and you saved the planet a little bit, those little bits add up, so it matters, plus you did yourself some good by walking, so you are a total star in my eyes. :A

Honeythewitch, that Trigeminal Neuralgia sounds horrible and I am so sorry you are without your meds. :( Hopefully you will get them tomorrow.

I have been watching an episode of My 600lb Life on Youtube for inspiration, too. Although I don't know why, because the participants are almost always shown eating very tasty food and I keep getting the urge to eat pizza. I shall look out for the WW episodes, maybe they will be less craving-inducing.

    Hello x
I too have a wardrobe full of lovely clothes too small and hardly any bigger clothes. My husband is very good at choosing new clothes for me as I used to have difficulties getting out. Now Im looking forward to choosing a few new pieces to keep me going - Im so much more interested in my appearance now Im feeling better.
Hope the poorly people recover soon
    Kind Regards x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Brambling - Well done on choosing fruit over the biscuit tin. I hope your stomach behaved during tai chi!!

Frugalina - It's a shame that you couldn't do yesterday's bike ride but well done for getting the lights

Blue Doggy - Well done on your pub lunch choices and saving the planet. I sometimes think it's just as well that I don't drive and live very close to town, it means there's no temptation to hop in the car for short journeys.

Honey - I hope that the doctor sorts out your prescription today and that the scarf did the trick. I didn't know what trigeminal neuralgia was but, having looked it up, I now feel like a proper wimp for moaning about having a stomach ache!!

Molly - I hope you enjoy shopping for new clothes. It's great that your husband's got good taste (well, he married you :) ) but there's nothing like being able to choose for yourself.

Thanks for all the well wishes, I'm feeling much closer to human today. It probably helps that I'm working from home, not having to deal with people face-to-face makes things so much easier :D
  • Just a quick check in from me...
2 boiled eggs with beetroot. Apple.
Veg soup, jacket potato, cheese. Jelly with 1 tablespoon cream. Grapes.
I'll catch up with all the posts tomorrow. :)
A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks
  • Hi everyone,

It has been a busy day today and I am still sticking to my diet. A full eating day today, yippee: :j

    B: Overnight Oats
    L: Ryvita and Violife Cheese
D: Sweet Potato, Baked Beans and veggies

I shall have a Nakd bar later

Molly41, I am glad you are feeling better and enjoying choosing clothes again.

Izadora, I hope to do the bike ride tomorrow. I am glad you are feeling better today.

See you later, Tighteningthebelt, your food is on point! :A

Oh, I wanted to tell you all about my new found taste sensation that I discovered last night. Tesc0 Frozen cherries! They take a while to melt in your mouth, then boom, the sweetness hits your taste buds. Highly recommended!

I am very impressed with your husband, Molly. I would sooner go naked than have my husband choose my clothes. Last time I was in hospital, he forgot my instructions to collect the already packed bag, and instead brought the scruffy, grey, and threadbare nighty that I gave birth to my thirty-four year old in and have worn very regularly ever since!
    I was mortified. :D

Oooh i shall give that a try. I like frozen things, like banana. (I prefer Hargen Daz) I had a couple of the Fibre one carrot cake bars this evening, frozen like a poor man's choc-ice.:)
calorie wise, i might just as well have had the choc ice.

I also had scrambled egg on toast, Pear, carrots. Then chicken breast, green beans, and fat free chips.

:j:j -2.5lb loss this week :). Which has put me back to 0 but I shall briefly celebrate

I hope you got your meds Honey and are in less pain :)

FrugalLina I'll have a look out the cherries, I'm all for a low calorie sweet treat :) sometimes I need a sweet finish to the end of a meal with having dessert

    Enjoy your shopping Molly :)

Work has been a bit manic so I've missed my lunchtime walk again between the showers, I planned to go out but got caught up in something and was then reminded at 1.30pm that we had a 2pm meeting

B - porridge, banana and blueberries
L - gammon and soft blue cheese spinach salad with figs - last of my cooked apples and plums
D - not as planned as I 'popped' out and didn't get back to 9pm so a couple of slices of wheaten bread, toasted with soft cheese and gammon
S- pineapple, fibre 1 brownie, sugar snap peas

Frugalina Thank you for the hint about the frozen cherries. I tend not to eat much fruit but they sound like a really good way to get a sweet treat.

Honey - I know I would've been mortified too but your husband's attempt at bringing you clothes to hospital really made me giggle.

Brambling - Well done on the loss :T

I think the very best I can hope for tomorrow is only ending up back at zero but I fear that it's going to be a lot worse than that.

I'd been doing pretty well but yesterday I was working from home and didn't have much work to do. My husband then decided to dance around the kitchen imploring me to make cake, which seemed like a lot more fun than staring at my laptop, so I ended up having coffee and walnut cake for brunch :o

I then drank vast quantities of wine after having gone to my parents' house to make them dinner. It's been a difficult few months - my mum had a stroke in February - and last night's visit tipped me over the edge so oblivion seemed like a good place once I got home. To say I'm feeling delicate today would be an understatement and I fear that I'm not going to make the healthiest of food choices :o
