I actually have quite a busy October ahead of me. I have a few social events including 2 work nights out, a weekend away and half term. Plus I've just arranged to take the kids to see my ex's family who live away. Just going overnight, and staying in a hotel as well. So as the big December festival is coming up I need to be more frugal than I've ever been. I have organised the month as best as I can and everything is crossed that I can survive it. Good news is that it has mostly been paid for in advance. I can get through this.
Wearing my GoT Stark pyjamas - fully embracing the challenge...Not giving up

A little early but it's nearly time to turn the laptop off.
A few Dave Ramsey quotes to start
A BUDGET is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went
If you can't pay CASH you can't afford it.
Doing a Budget means learning an ancient and powerful word. NO
You can't get out of debt whilst keeping the same lifestyle that got you there. Cut out everything but the basics.
A little turtle wisdom
Try to be like the turtle - at ease in your own shell
Turtle - a symbol of longevity, turtles survived extinction when the dinosaurs didn't. Some live up to 200 years - without appearing to age at all. How? By never rushing life and at the first sign of stress, heading in to the quiet comfort of their custom mobile homes.

Can I join in please? I need to try and get my life in some kind of order!I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy0 -
I’d like join please - have never watched GOT so unsure of where I sit.....maybe a little of all....will undertake the tasks......and report back.0

(Greent I have just copied and edited your post to fit my goals, I'm useless at filling in the long posts :rotfl: )
Set Your BUDGET for the Month - £60 for petrol, £100 for food (we are away the last week of October so will not need fuel or food) £250 holiday spending money (don't plan to touch all of this, but good to know I could)
AUDIT your Cupboards, Fridge and Freezer - Challenge for this evening, there is definitely plenty there...!
Plan for the MONTH - what is happening, what commitments, appointments, celebrations, once a year bills are coming up. - Nan's 70th birthday, so one or two presents on top of the one I have ordered, and have some money set aside for the meal. Stepdad's birthday but card and gift already sent over. Need to pick up a card for OH's nephew, but have all week to do that. Oh, and Spain at the end of the month(have a budget for holiday spending money)
For the Next Ninety Days
SET some goals. Break them down into Monthly and Weekly targets. - pay off all of my debt! Sort Christmas without adding to/getting into debt! Carve some pumpkins for the first time, and have the house looking spooky in October and festive in December :j
You must PAY to YOUR DEBTS or SAVINGS FIRST - Manual debt payments done, DD's will come out over the next week or so, savings and final manual debt payments/clearances happen on the 14th
INCREASE your income if possible - Doing as many hours of work as possible online
REDUCE your outgoings - 100% bringing lunch to work everyday, and not wasting money there
Can you MEND, MAKE or MAKE DO instead of Buying? - planning to use up stores of various bits and bobs (food, cleaning stuff, baking ingredients) where possible rather than buying anything new
For the Next 90 Days
CUT out any unnecessary socialising - I don't go anywhere :rotfl: :rotfl:
CUT Screen Time - I have puzzles and books I am going to spend more time doing that watching tv
Be Mindful, Meditate, Read or just spend time with Nature - going to try to do a short yoga session 1 or 2 times a week (from YouTube)
For the Next 90 Days
Introduce ONE HABIT to improve your health - trying Yoga, and remembering to take my vitamins and my meds
Do something FOR YOU each day - will think on this
BE KIND always (everyone you meet is carrying some burden)
Concentrate on the THINGS THAT MATTER, your home and loved ones, health and happiness.
Make a FROG LIST - try to tackle one a day. - will do
CONTINUE to SIMPLIFY your life, RELEASE unwanted possessions and REDUCE things that cause you stress. - will try!
DONATE - time, goods or money - will fill any charity bags that come through the letterbox
BE GRATEFUL - will start listing three things a day I am grateful for
For the Next 90 Days
Think about what really matters to you - being happy and healthy, and those around me too.
What can you do to get closer to living the life you have always wanted? - pay off my debt!0
