    Good morning am very happy:
    NSD yesterday
    Survived a difficult month mentally and financially
    EF survived even if dramatically minimised
    I have just been offered 2 days of cover work this week(will get paid in time for ds B'day party next weekend). Both in walking distance.
    Actually have come in under budget overall
    Doing all of the little and big things MSE
    Just having a quiet breakfast before mad rush to get to school in time
    Happy Tuesday all

    AND THEN MORE BAD LUCK W BICYCLES ds(uni) just crashed into a car because of the rain. I am upset with him not being careful in the bad weather and upset because he could have hurt himself - more. Now his bicycle is out of sorts and he has to pay to repaint the car. What a mess. Does any insurance cover in this situation?

    Apart from that I spent the evening on a lovely coached club swim. (very low cost as through running club). First step towards open water swimming next year.

    Morning Campers,
    Just a quick post whilst I finish my coffee, as I want to pop out to pick another bowl of pears before the rain comes.
    *So let's start with that - Pick pears.
    *Possibly make fruit leather.
    *Sort out stair basket which contains a lot of filing.
    *Update grocery budget as didn't get a chance yesterday.
    *Check to see if a couple of payments have been taken yet.
    *Contact dairy about wrong milk order this morning as I don't want to be charged for what we haven't had.
    *Knit more of the two Christmas gifts currently on my needles.
    *Make tomorrow's packed lunch
    *Check for surveys as am almost back up to £30 on Prolific.
    *Not much exercise planned for today..... my only free fitness will be a brisk trot to the postbox between showers., but better than nothing.
    *Make a list of films I want to see. May as well make good use of our Prime subscription.
    Heaps or ironing as I got 3 loads dry outside yesterday, but I think it can wait until tomorrow.
    OK, shoes going on, fetching my steps & heading out to pick those pears,
    Cheers all,

    Banking checked
    Phone and tablet charging
    Plants watered. Must ask my neighbour if she'll look after them whilst I'm away. She owns a cafe so she's welcome to use the herbs.
    Dinner defrosting
    Lunch in freezer
    Quick tidy
    Take medication
    Check clothes for holiday.

    That'll do for today
    Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

  • Apologies I still need to catch up on the end of last week's thread.

    Has been a busy few days. DD goes back to uni tomorrow so it's getting everything ready.
    I was on utube again yesterday as I couldn't remember how to fold a fitted sheet!!!

    We've been determined to reduce the ironing pile and tidy up one part of the kitchen that has been a bit of a dumping ground
    DD sorted out the airing cupboard last night and changed the beds. We have bedding to go to the vets, they put out a SOS for items.
    We've also popped items to one side ready for the CS
    I really want to do a tip run next week as well. Next door have said they will load the car for me and I don't have to do anything the other end.

    I had a fall on Sunday day, it hurt! Moving slower than usual, really felt thru the surgery site but no damage touch wood. Also had a headache at the end of the week of sorting out new prescription items. All it was was a change in manufacturer of said items but took ages to sort.

    Banking all checked, everything good.
    Just waiting for a quote for a new stairs and landing carpet. Really want to get the hall decorated before Christmas.
    4 lots of birthday presents delivered at the weekend(all bought in the sales). Another present to friend also handed out so pleased we had some space freed up. DD and I had a sort out and tidy of the spare room as it was also storing some uni items as well.

    There just seemed to be lots of sorting out, decluttering and tidying at the end of the week and yesterday. We did have some spends, DD and I had a meal out on Sat night before going back to uni. Was very reasonably priced.

    RM extra surveys been completed. Just waiting for my first pack to go back onto the main panel.
    I'm sure there are other things, just seems so much going on.

    Hope everyone is doing great okay, have a great day everyone x

    Afternoon all!

    Luckily I fairly easily managed to fix my crochet project last night! However, I think it might be my prototype as it's not as big as I'd like (stuffed toy). If so I will give it to my mum as she's crocheting some bits for a charity event at the moment. If so, I will need to get some different wool which is slightly annoying!

    Today I have/will:
    * Check banks
    * Do washing up
    * Take lunch to work
    * Check OP (5p left until the cashout threshold!) and PA
    * Check paypal for PA money
    * Make CC payment if any money appears
    * Think of ideas for what to do with pears from our tree (I did google fruit leather after foxgloves mentioned it!)
    * Get a lift to circuits
    * Dinner from stores
    * Follow OH around the house turning lights off!

    Think that's everything for today. Hope you all have a lovely day.

    Afternoon all,

    The weather here doesn't know what to do, one minute chucking it down the next blue skies! I bet I know what it will be doing when I have to park a 15 min walk away from the hospital this afternoon!!

    Todays list is a boring one as I've not had much time for more then the basics

    * 2 classes at the gym and refilled water bottle - I definitely get value for my £16/month done
    * use it up omelette for brunch done
    * check banking/update spreadsheet
    * take drink with us to the hospital, rather then be nagged into buying something there
    * make families lunches for tomorrow
    * package up games to send off to cex for the kids
    * rm surveys

    I've finished my cuppa so better crack on!
    Take care all.
    Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
  • Hi everyone, been out of touch for a couple of days. I worked all through on Sunday night trying to finish a report which I did. So no sleep and had to work all day on Monday. I was like a zombie. thank goodness i work from home.

    * check bank account - done
    * check budget - done
    * keep on top of kitchen - so far so good
    * buy printer ink - done
    * work, but done for the day
    * shredding

    the meal planning has made such a difference, not only budget wise, but also in terms of my sanity, not wondering what i am going to cook by staring at the freezer. early bed tonight.

    have a good evening

  • Hello :wave:
    Apologies for being out of the loop. You may blame any or all of the following reasons, in any order.... being back at work, Ofsted, open evenings, my ex husband, not having any money, my own loneliness.
    I just don't seem to have much time to myself at the moment and when I finally do get it I find myself stressed beyond belief with everything else that is going on. I have another court date coming up in a few weeks and I'm suffering with my self esteem, as tends to happen.
    Anyway, I am keeping the faith as far as I can - not spending my cash (if I can help it), using up what's in the house and definitely not having the heating on just yet. At the moment I need to be just looking after me and the kids as well as I can and survive the days at work.
