  • Morning, another wet day. When autumn and winter sets in I am very grateful to work from home. Pleased to have sold some pots for a £5 yesterday. And withdrew £4.16 from Survey. I like the fact that minimum payout is £4. Also did a survey on PA so an extra £1.50. Trying to get back into surveys as so hard to make extra money. Just realised my DD has been taxed when she should not. at 17 and way under the tax threshold she should not be paying any, so we are going to challenge this when she gets to work.

    * Today I must be focused on my work, been very distracted and wasting time.
    * Dinner will be prawn curry for OH and Salmon and veg for DD
    * Check banking - Done, painful as I see the OD amount
    * Take medication
    * Load dishwasher

    have a good day everyone

    Morning Frugalistas,
    As tomorrow is my Big Budget Day, I'm going to do my weekly Friday cleaning today instead, so will see what time I am left with.
    *Clean house using minimal products & washable cloths.
    *Two free bin liners courtesy of yet more charity bags through our door this week.
    *Try new dhal recipe.
    *Make tomorrow's packed lunch.
    *Meal plans for next week, prioritising freezer supplies.
    *Fridge round-up of odds & sods for lunch today.
    *Pick all remaining tomatoes & add any green ones to ripening bag.
    *Check for surveys.
    *Knit Christmas presents.
    *Think about things I could usefully do if we have a city centre trip at the weekend.
    *Make a sourdough loaf.
    I'm fact, I'll just go & mix that dough up, then I'll crack straight on with the cleaning. The quicker I get it done, the more 'me time' I shall achieve.
    Wishing everyone a good day today,
    F x

  • This will be my last post this week.

    Phone and tablet charging
    Banking checked and pennies moved
    Take medication.
    Water plants
    Change bedding so it will be fresh on our return
    Chick tidy
    Shopping for Himself's last minute things - hope the rain goes off
    Pay Himself's small credit card bill - a few days earlier than normal
    Finish packing - everything is laid out ready to go in suitcase
    Do nails etc
    Make sure everything is in handbag that's going with me
    Lunch and dinner are in the fridge

    Think that's everything. I'll be back in three weeks but now I've started making lists again I'll keep it up. Maybe then I won't forget to take the medication.
    Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Toni'sfriend, I hope you have a lovely break.

    CCl, hope the observation goes well.

    I'm feeling pretty rubbish, I wasn't well yesterday afternoon then started with toothache at bedtime. Its just a case of managing the pain as its a tooth that I'm on the waiting list to have extracted :(
    So anyway I've cancelled my gym classes for today and I'm sat in bed typing this with a cuppa. (I don't do this! ,......ever! would usually have to be up and taking kids etc but they've sorted themselves out this morning - did have to give them lunch money though as I didn't get to the shop yesterday afternoon due to the sickness. Really NEED to get to the shops today as no packed lunch stuff and need lots of bits to make proper meals oh and milk. Nice to not have to rush is what I'm getting at.

    So today I need to
    * go to aldee with my list Done
    * take boys games to the post office as they've sold them to cex Post office counter not open as theyve had a problem overnight apparently, will do tomorrow instead
    * check banking/update spreadsheet Done
    * make families lunches for tomorrow
    * pop to the drs to pick up prescriptions tomorrow instead then I can pick up both at the same time, save fuel on one trip rather then two
    * sign dh up to the body shop - hopefully he'll get a birthday treat like I did! Done
    * maybe pop a bag into the cs as I'll be close by, I've got some clothes and games to drop off. Done and added another tshirt as I was on my way out of the door

    Thats it for now. Take care all.

    ** also just entered my shop from aldee against what I would have paid for a comparable shop in MR T and it saved me 25% That adds up to a lot of money over a month/year. I can't see me ever going back to shopping that way.
    ** feeling a bit more human, currently making a bolognaise sauce packed with veggies
    ** sewn up a little hole that had developed in my nightie rather then wait til it got bigger and buy new
    ** made a batch of Welsh cakes for school lunch bag snacks - so quick and easy to make and the kids love them

  • Morning

    I am also sitting in my bed. All week my chest has been bad, it's felt as if a big heavy box has been placed on it and every now and then a few more weights are added. I think I might be slightly improving as in the night and a couple of times this morning I've coughed, pathetic little ineffective coughs, but a cough none the less, hopefully through out the day the cough will be more productive.

    1LL I hope you make a full and speedy recovery.

    Today's dinner is lasagna, earlier in the week I made the ragu sauce, after breakfast my priority is going to be ensembling it so somebody just needs to put it in the oven this evening.

    The roll over list is still waiting to be dealt with.

    I have a RM survey item to post today, if I feel up to it later I may take a slow walk to the post box for some fresh air.

    Today's list:
    PAD
    Pmp etc
    Check bank accounts
    Home educate children for free
    Make bread
    Make porridge
    Stick to the meal plan
    Breakfast, lunch & dinner from stores
    Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
    79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

  • Morning :D I've just finished TOMM in the kitchen. I'm struggling to keep on top of it this week so need to do the bedrooms as well today. It's only 30 mins so not too arduous!

    Other things:

    * hang up washing on airer
    * work out what's for dinner
    * try to remember to eat lunch. I'm losing weight because I can't eat very much at the moment :'(
    * wash beeswax wraps
    * considering going in to town as need matching thread to make top but not sure if I'll be motivated today. Might just do some other things and go in tomorrow after handing over pup
    * roast beetroot and make brownies
    * need to organise the fridge
    * might list some things on fleabay
    * take dog for walk

    Ok that will do

    Afternoon all :)
    Sorry to hear that some of our number are poorly :(
    DNMS I hope you ate something for lunch :(
    CCL, hope the observation went well. I am sure it will have done.
    Spendy day here today as I had to buy new bed sheets to replace some that are wearing thin / going into holes. Got them for a very reasonable price from lovely old fashioned haberdashers in next town. Also got 2 really good quality tea towels for £1.25 each.We are lucky to still have this lovely local shop. I was pleased to see that they were busy today :)
    Also bought a loaf from the market, and a few bits from the charity shops.
    Apart from all that spending:
    HG fruit with breakfast
    Claimed a £5 Amazon voucher from a survey site
    Read meters and entered readings on energy company's web site
    Finally took photos of damage to our camper van awning and emailed repair company for a rough estimate :T
    Made cakes for a fundraiser for Macmillan tomorrow at the shop where my sales unit is situated :) Used ingredients I already had in, so no extra cost there, and it is such a good cause
    All meals, drinks etc from home, HG beans with dinner :)
    Was very sad to hear that my younger DD's old nursery teacher was killed in a horse riding accident recently. She was 66, and fit and well. Devastating for her family :(
