    Thanks for that.

Yea could be interesting come the weekend when people havent been refunded. I will give them an extra day as it took me a day to gather all the documents. So come Monday i will be on the phone if i haven't been paid

My claim has gone from 'Awaiting review' to 'pending approval'. Anyone had that before know what it means

From what I've seen on various on-line forums that's a good thing. Seemingly they wont ask for any more info. and you're now waiting for that one person who's job it is to press the SEND button to give you your money back.
I have just had a mail asking for bank statements and receipts all of which I could have provided on Oct 7th if asked. I'm now "Awaiting Review" on the tracker. Fingers cross we edge ever closer.

What people getting asked for by ProtectClaims??

I've read they were asking for Credit card statements etc as proof of payment

Ive been asked for this below and im a bit worried giving them my all my bank details along with my signature on the other form .

    Or is this standard?/

In order to continue processing your claim we require the following information:
    • A scanned Bank letter or scanned / electronic copy of your most recent Bank statement - which clearly shows your Full Name, Bank sort code and Bank Account number
    • A scanned copy of the completed Refund Details Form. (available to download here: Refund Details Form) Please note that we require this to be hand signed by the individual(s) who made the original payment.

What you get asked for depends on the type of claim you're making (full refund, keeping flights but recfund on other elements, paid in cash etc)

    But yes that's legit
  • I have 4 claims in total, which I submitted on the first day the claims line opened.

    2 are saying waiting review
1 is saying it doesnt exist even though protect claims have messaged about it asking for more documents
And the 4th is saying awaiting guidance from CAA
Going of what others on here have said doesnt look like I will be getting my refund in the 60 day guidelines.

I'm so frustrated and angry, does anyone in authority actually care ?
  • Had an email today from protect claims requesting the standard bank letter/statement and payment authorisation.. I logged onto right path and it accepted my claim number/atol number etc (i presume the right path tracker tracks all claims?)

The tracker states it has been updated today and is listed as PAID, however, as I've just got in from work, I havent sent anything to protect claims yet, nor has any money been refunded?

    Anyone anything similar?

Just checked and mine and also says Paid and closed today....I guess the info they are asking for is to confirm the correct bank details etc

Hopefully we'll get the refund soon

These bank details that people are getting asked for, is everyone getting asked for them? Why bother providing them to the CAA in the first place

Nope, no correspondence from them at all. Submitted my claim on 7th October, then got paid on 1st Dec. Never showed any proof of payment or had to give bank details again. Paid via E-voucher bought through my employer's benefit scheme. Very odd how others are being asked for different things when I haven't!

Guess it depends what info Thomas Cook held about the bookings on their system. Was your refund being delt with Protectclaim? If it was the reference number will begin with Z
