Lol at to try explain the best I could
  • Had an email from Protect Claims last night requesting confirmation of Bank Details (copy of latest statement) and to sign a claim form and scan it then email them.

Did a check online about them find this site among others.

Anyway, was going to sort info this afternoon, went in to online banking to download latest statement and found my Refund had been paid by Right Path today.

So I just replied to email, saying I would not be sending information to them and if they had wanted it, they should have asked when claim went in not wait until the 60 days were virtually up.

Happy to have my money back although not desperate, going off to Jamaica with TUI on Sunday which is a replacement for the Thomas Cook Fiasco.

If they have confirmed they can see your holiday was paid for in cash, I cant understand or see what issue it is of theirs where the cash came from , they are trying to act like the tax man now, I think the power has gone to their head, the only thing that should concern them is is the amount your trying to claim the same as what they have on their system, how you came about that money is not their buisness , seems to me that protect claims are doing everything the can to reject claims,
I'm hoping Martin Lewis will be all over this like a rash, it's so unfair

If ive read it correctly they can see someone has paid in cash, but how do they know its the person making a claim? That could be a fraudulent claim and someone trying to get the money paid into their account. They want to see proof of receipt/payment so that they know Mleeds was the one who made it

Thanks for the reply, I dont understand how thomas cook can take the money with bo questions asked, then protect claims wanting bank statements for money what's been saved up over the years from birthday presents and putting money in to a tin for years saving for this holiday, they do know it's me who's made the claim I've offered to send I'd passports etc of every single passenger who was ment to go on the holiday, they just want proof of the money coming out of a bank but that isn't realistic alot of people do what I did for holidays put money away and spare change to save for the holidays so dont get how you can prove that
  • I cant see how they can withhold your money,
Have you spoken to CAA ?
ide be seeking legal advice , and get onto your MP once election over,

If the name on your bank account is the same as the booking, and your willing to supply passports for everyone on booking to double confirm, and they have already confirmed they know youve paid in cash how can they think they can get away without paying you ?
    It really is scandalous,
  • Works both ways though, they have all details of persons on the holiday so there should be no problem what so ever in paying out to one of those people..

    Common sense I would say.

Anyone would think the money is coming out of their own pockets, no doubt they are getting a big payment for doing this work.

Why they leave requesting info until a few days before the payment deadline is supposedly up is beyond me.

They requested info from me last night (first I had heard of them) while looking into downloading a bank statement for them, I found I had been refunded today.
All I had done was fill in the original CAA form on 7th Oct.
Obviously Righthand does not know what the Lefthand is doing at that outfit.

Yeah spoke to them they said it's nothing to do with them apparently it's an absolute joke lol, everyone I've spoke to have been arrogant and not understanding at all so I'm stuck to where to go from here, the thing is I could lie and get proof of money coming out of someone's bank but I dont want to after to do that as it could potentially ruin my claim

I have checked the bank and no money has been paid so I'm guessing I wont be lucky and get the money without providing them with the proof there asking for, dont no how any one would be able to prove it in my situation
