I wait in anticipation then!
Switched on Sunday (the 22nd) and had a 'sorry you're leaving us' email from Utilita yesterday. Hopefully that means ir'll go through.0 -
After some advice, so seems I’m in the same boat, I applied to switch as soon as it was announced it was Utilta taking over. My gas has gone through OK but my electricity supply has been held up.
So my electric has stayed with Utilta and was advised my supply wouldn't be affected.
Got home from work on Monday night to find myself with no electricity, anyway to cut a long story short it appears they moved my meter to a PAYG meter and there was no credit, I’ve never ever been PAYG with anyone.
I lost all the contents of my freezer and now Utilta say they wouldn't pay out on damages like that and only offered me £10 credit on my next bill
Surely this doesn't sound right?0 -
Tried to register an account. The customer number does not match what is held on their records - strange as it is the one on the letter they sent me. Not that I really care, I am with another supplier now and I owe them money.0

Those who put a bit of effort in at this stage will have significantly less hassle than those who just hope it will all come out in the wash.
I bet there are still some IRESA customers who are still arguing about their accounts and wish they'd done a bit more when IRESA went bust.
We've just transferred away to Symbio and are a few quid in credit with Eversmart but as I control our account pretty closely it's not a kings ransom if we have to wait some time to recover it. We'd already closed our DD.
That is really good advice, Solarplicity customers lost access to their accounts, I downloaded as much as I can and took screenshots of the rest, but many others have not been so lucky.0 -

Could I ask whether you started your switch before Utilitia took over on 11th September ? I ask as the switch that I instigated on the 18th was rejected (see my earlier post).0 -

I switched to Symbio Energy on the 19/09/19, last email was on 21/09/19. Your estimated date of supply switch is currently on the 05 October 2019.
Hopefully this goes though ok and I don't get "Ofgem rule that you have to be with a supplier for a week before a switch can be initiated".
Fingers crossed, as don't want to be with Utilita a moment longer than I have to.0 -
Same here, got an email from green saying they couldn't move me, rang utilita they said the same as you. Told them I'll reapply for the transfer today then, fella on phone says I should wait until the 1st October as it will definitely go through??
So straight back to green, the guy says I was the 10th person to ring about this problem, lol....green say it's going to be sorted asap
Despite being told by Utilita yesterday that they'd marked my account to ensure a switch could go ahead, I get another email from Green today to say that the switch has been rejected again.
Green will re-apply again today but this is now getting ridiculous. Feels like I'm being held hostage by Utilita.
How on earth did Ofgem ever think this shower were a competent outfit to take over the Eversmart accounts ?0 -
I started my switch on 2nd September and Eversmart were announced as going into administration on 6th September. I was worried my switch would not go through but it completed on 24th september this week. All through I checked and my supply stayed with Eversmart according to the network.
I received a text from Utilitia saying they had been nominated by OFGEM but did not receive anything else after that.
My account was clear with Eversmart on 2nd September as I paid my outstanding balance on that day as I was informed they would block the switch due to £52 owing. I then cancelled my DD on the 6th like most others.
So I will await a bill from 2nd September going to 24th September. I kept a note of meter readings on 6th when Eversmart ceased and opening reading to Outfox. I also screenshot everything.
I thought I would show my timeline as I know many others initiated switches and were concerned.
Good Luck0
