Thanks, I've got through to Utilita accounts team and they told me that they haven't yet received all accounts details from the administrator and that I should wait 4-6 weeks for this to come through. They might have to create a dummy Utilita account for me in order to process the repayment. Well, I've put a reminder in my calendar.
Unfortunately the bank told me that as the company is in administration they cannot retrieve the money and that I should retrieve it via the regulator :-(0 -
Utilita have sent me a quantum gas card! I’m on a credit gas meter so they must be using old data from somewhere if they think I have a prepay meter!?
I’ve tried ringing them but their phone system has a large amount of menu options and I didn’t stay on the line past 15 mins. Will have to call them back later0 -

I can't get through to utilita to find out how much in credit, or my annual usage, which was , of course all online with Eversmart. I too have had a DD go out after they went into admin.
Paying by DD is a great way for energy suppliers to become part time banks. If I can, I'll change to paying on invoice in future..0 -

You were warned to download your on-line info and keep a very careful eye on what was going on. It's now in the lap of the godsNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

The issue is at Utilita’s end though I believe....blocking switches to not just Green but other suppliers too. When I spoke to Utilita about this they said it was because they had not yet received all the required information from Eversmart,0 -
Just got my online account from Utilita. It means i have to boil my 2kw kettle "which take 2 minutes" 30 times at 28.25p to then reach the lower 17.17p
Note: that i was paying 13p with Eversmart + 20p a day.
MY NEW RIPP OFF UTILITA ELECTRICITY TARIFF
Smart Energy
First 2 kWh each Day at 28.25p per kWh, thereafter at 17.017p. Standing Charge is £0.0 -

Which effectively means that the standing charge is 22.466 a day.
Do as most other sensible people - move to a cheaper supplier
Get onto a comparison site and get it sorted out ASAP
I'm not recommending them but my deal with Symbio is 12.5p/kw + 15p/day standing charge.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

I keep regular readings using a spreadsheet and I note that my daily electricity consumption never falls below 2Kwh - even when on holiday. (It's mostly the fridge/freezer that accounts for that).
Gas falls below 2Kw consumption only while on summer holiday.
It's small comfort but most of us will gain the 'benefit' of the slightly lower exorbitant price tier.0
