the irony of course is that although they are always a shoe-in for re-election themselves, their antics make Labour unelectable in most other areas.
Not if people are fair minded and have an understanding that the perspective of a black woman or man in the UK might be very different to their own.

Talking about Diane Abbot. It says on Guido Fawkes, her son got arrested for biting a police officer earlier this year.

I see the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in scumbag terms

I don't particularly rate Diane Abbott, however it's probably a little unfair to hold her fully accountable and brand her a scumbag on the basis of her son's alleged activities, when he's 28 years old.

You can still be fair minded and have the understanding that you talk of and still come to the conclusion that Lammy and Abbott are a pair of idiots.

By this logic the Queen should be held accountable for Prince Andrew's behaviour.

I think the problem with Abbott and the Lammy fella too, is that they resort all to readily to a particularly nasty form of leftist invective that is usually based around identity.

    Have you got some examples?

I know Lammy is quite keen to call out bad rightist behaviour when he sees it, if that's what you mean.

Plenty of right minded people see them as sensible folk that get attacked pretty mercilessly by the right wing media. Abbot certainly isn't an idiot, and I doubt Lammy is with his Masters in Law from Harvard.

Have you looked at them from outside your bubble?

I do recall Lammy rather crassly accusing comic relief of white saviour syndrome a while back, as a result the amount of money raised dropped markedly.
I'm not in anyway doubting their academic achievements, just judging them on their efforts as politicians. Neither of them inspire much confidence I'm afraid.

It obviously plays well with the good folks of Tottenham and Hackney, but it does rub a lot of ordinary people up the wrong way. Some might say we've had generations of white politicians who've employed the same sort of tactics and these particular two are just redressing the balance, the irony of course is that although they are always a shoe-in for re-election themselves, their antics make Labour unelectable in most other areas.

You mean they represent their constituents, many of whom are working class and aren't white?

Or "good people" as you sneeringly refer to them.
  • People are slating the Tories, but I must know a few dozen people who are saying that they are voting for them, yet like me they now despise them, explain that?

Why you despise them I've no idea. Personally I could never vote for Corbyn and his beliefs. Though there's nothing personal in it.

They've been convinced that Labour will be worse.
