All sounding good Huggle.
I can't believe you raced in this weather it's boiling, well done.2 -
Afternoon all, enjoying the sun for getting my washing done everyday! Too hot to exercise at my normal time so have been going out with dh at 0600 before he goes to work.
Pay day today and have done my usual money shuffles to savings pots, emergency fund now up to £400 as is the Xmas pot plus plenty in the other too. Home insurance is due for renewal end of August and the quote from current provider is £30 more than last year, quick scan of other providers I can get for £40 less plus cashback so will do a proper look over the next couple of weeks.
I need to save funds for ds birthday as it's going to be an expensive day for the boys, I can get cashback too which is a bonus.
Very frustrated with tradespeople, contacted another person about fixing our toilet and some other work he responded quickly but then have heard nothing since. Really would like to find someone reliable and responds to messages! Only decent one we have is the electrician. Might go through one of those trade sites e.g. TrustATr....com
Busy weekend ahead and then back to work Monday, annual leave has gone too quick.

Have you tried asking the electrician if he knows anyone for your jobs? So often a job involves a few aspects so my kitchen fitter friend can recommend plumbers, decorators, electricians and so on. Might be worth a try?2

Back to work and very busy which is good, my sessions through the business are quiet as expected but I have no cost of hall hire so it's fine. Paid myself for coaching 2 hours still.
Another £50 paid off the credit card bringing it down to £700, next payment will be 10th August.
Busy weekend ahead with a very long run, night shift and then helping at a race.
Quieter next week and my lovely brother and his new partner are coming up to visit, can't believe it's nearly 2 years since I've seen him!

Ooh saying this quietly so not to jinx it, we have a Plumber coming on Wednesday
Fingers crossed they turn up for a start and can fix the problem.
All ticking along, dh gets paid tomorrow so can update all the budgets, I'm getting a refund from a course that I booked last year but haven't been able to do and now it's too late as no free weekends before my event. £95 will be winging it's way back which I'll round up to £100 and pay off the card.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, see you on the other side.

Whoop whoop, plumber arrived before 0900 this morning. Really lovely bloke and a young lad, toilet is now fixed plus a couple of other things with the water pressure and shoddy work done by previous people! Cost a fair bit but it was so nice that I was able to move money from my annual bills pot to pay for the majority of it and not be left short. What a revelation! I need to build that pot up again now but I need to pay for home insurance later this month so will be next month to start again.
Enjoying a fairly relaxed week as next week I'm full on everyday, including a visit to the capital.
Gutted my brother isn't able to visit as his partner and her daughter both have Covid and so he is isolating too. Really sad not to see them.
Hoping my refund comes through tomorrow as itching to pay some more off the card, it's so close now.
This month is going to continue to be expensive, we have niece's birthday, ds birthday tea (pizza) already paid for day out from this month's pay, need to get dd new uniform and I'm sure there's something else.
Hope everyone's ok, H x1 -
Evening huggle.
Great news that the plumber came and fixed lots of bits and pieces, Sorry to hear your brother's family have got covid, fingers crossed they get well soon.
Take care xx2 -
Hope wide family recover quickly.

Good evening, really busy day sorting out 2 events. Not hard work just lots of bits and pieces to put together and answers and input from lots of different people. Then out at two clubs this evening.
Refund came from cancelled course and paid off the card, this is now down to £600. My overall debt is now £1160 and I want to get under the 1k mark by the end of the month.
That's it short and sweet, am tired, going to bed as up at 0600 for training.
Night night peeps, H x2
