Feeling really 'meh' today and can't put my finger on why, feel like I work my backside off in so many different ways and it's still never good enough.
Own business is great, really busy and starting to bring in a bit of money now.
Main job - CEO spoke about staff health and wellbeing and less than 1/2 an hour later was in another meeting with us talking about the lack of membership and we really need a plan of recovery. The fact that events have only just restarted and we still can't go into schools much doesn't seem to register! Feel like I'm doing the most work for one part of the job even though my colleague works 4 days a week and I work 1 for that aspect.
Club - I raised an extra £650 for my club and am putting on an event but just faced with costings and questions, not even a well done or thank you.
2nd job - actually that's ok and need to keep picking up shifts.
Maybe I just expect too much but when I was a manager I would always and regularly say thank you and be positive especially when things were difficult.
I mentioned before about the house and it's really starting to get me down, everything that needs doing needs a tradesperson to do it and lots of money. I think I need to do a declutter and tidy up the garden for winter, I am currently looking on selling sites for any free external doors so we can replace the ones to the garden as they let in water at the bottom into the shed.
Right need to crack on, we're having homemade chinese food for tea, relax with the kids for the evening before 2 night shifts this weekend.
I'll be more positive next time! H x1 -

Anyway back to the present.
I'm on night shift 2 of 2 and hoping I have a good sleep tomorrow whilst everyone is out at work and school. I forgot I'll have more overtime from 2nd job as I was on a course the other day plus I have another short training course in a couple of weeks so that will boost the coffers.
Had a lovely evening with dh and the kids on Friday cooking and eating together plus listening to music, had a good giggle.
I decluttered a few things in the kitchen yesterday whilst dh cut the hedges in the front garden, did a big food shop after a stack of dishes from the previous evening. DH and I chatted about meals during the week as dd isn't getting home until after 6pm and we're busy with clubs and on most days. We decided that those days would be ready meal days but they would be homecooked ready meals. DH has made a chilli and a curry today so these are now in the freezer in pots so the kids can pick and choose, need to do a shepherds pie tomorrow plus there's some Lasagne in there too.
Much better than waiting until we get home and eating after 7pm.
Plan tomorrow when I get up is to tidy the garden of weeds and tidy things away for winter. I haven't had time to grow anything this year and the herbs haven't taken so will start again next year.
Pay day from 2nd job on Friday this will go on school fees, I need to pay the next balance by 13th December of £2600 and that account has £0 in it at the moment.
I'm saving my own income from my business for a treat for myself, I need some new clothes so that will be nice to spend when I've saved a bit more.

Good afternoon, just checking in before I collect dd from school.
Things are ticking over and making little bits of progress, we haven't started stripping the wallpaper as I remembered that we needed to get a new wallpaper stripper so will get on Friday when I get paid. The home-cooked ready meals are a hit and we need to do another batch cooking session to keep the freezer topped up.
I've done some weeding and also cleaned the paddling pool which is drying before I fold it up and put in the shed for the winter. Just need to dig out the old potatoes and tidy up and garden will be all sorted and can leave for a few months.
I got paid from 2nd job so moved into school fees pot - now standing at £500/£2600.
My expenses have been authorised, so when that is paid it will go off the credit card and then the final balance will be paid on 5th October when I get child benefit. Not long to go now!
I think I'll sit doing some surveys this evening to relax, another busy week ahead so nice to have one evening at home.

Hmm twiddling my thumbs today, waiting for others to respond and waiting for pay day.
I'm organising an event for 2 weeks time and the website is down for the company I need some kit from, I still need lots of competitors too.
Pay day is tomorrow plus still waiting for expenses to be paid, don't they know I have a credit card to pay off!
I heard some news about a development in my job role that I've been asking to do for about 3 years, it will mean extra income when I do it but I'll believe it when it happens.
I need to update my budget soon and also really work hard on reducing our grocery spends, it's still too high. I'm just starting a shopping list for tomorrow with 3 meals to batch cook over the weekend.
Right best get on with something I suppose!

Whoop whoop, expenses were paid with normal pay so have sent just over £300 this morning leaving a balance of £200 on the card. 11 days and this will be gone! That feels like a major achievement and I can start tackling the next item on our list.
Today after I dropped dd at school I went to buy a wallpaper stripper, we have a really busy weekend ahead so not sure if we'll get much done.
I then went shopping and got all the ingredients for our batch cooking, so many empty shelves though and when I went into town I could see the queues at the petrol station! There's plenty of Xmas selection boxes at our local shop but no cat food, limited tinned goods and very infrequent bread.
I've got a beef meal in the slow cooker and dh will make the curry to pot up and put in the freezer.
I've got a big admin task for work to do and a meeting this evening so my planned day off isn't happening. I have so many bits of paper with lists of things I need to organise and it's a mess. Need to get this sorted first.
Right better crack on but what to start with.... might do budget first with plans to pay off parents and savings goals etc.
Have a lovely weekend, H x2
