So not much going on in terms of finances, I'm booked to teach on some course later in the year with will give me some extra income. I received a very small amount of expenses because I haven't been anywhere much for work last month.
I sent over £5 to emergency fund, £5 to guttering fund and £6.45 to dd trust fund to round it up. I said it was a small amount of expenses!
10 days until pay day from second job, I should get the pay slip next Friday so will be interesting to see how much extra I'll get and hope it's not swallowed up in tax.
I've been trying to sort out pet insurance but the website doesn't seem to be moving on from the first page. I'll try again in a bit.
Have a good weekend all, see you on the other side! H x2 -

Afternoon, just popping on before I go and teach 2 sessions.
Weekend passed in a blur, the event went really well. Need to move it back to summer next year and make a few small adjustments but otherwise it was all good. Had lots of lovely feedback.
Nothing happening much today, no-one seems to be working!
Finally managed to sort out some pet insurance but with a different provider, can't believe the range of quotes. Anyway it's sorted and a small amount of cashback to come when it tracks.
Still no news r.e. extra hours, always seems to take forever to get things sorted.
Paid final £7 for the credit card, so this is all clear now.
Looking forward to going away on Friday with the family, and just chilling for a change. We had a family chat and have decided only to have one present each for Xmas and save for some trips to Europe next year.
Right need to get ready, see you later H x1 -
Sounds like loads to look forward to. Glad your event went well.

Morning! Well I have news, of sorts. My boss phoned yesterday morning to ask how many hours extra I wanted, I said ideally 1 1/2 days so he went off to a meeting with that information and said he'd phone me later.
We had a staff meeting at lunch time where he announced the updated staff news including me taking on extra hours but has not confirmed with me whether it's the full amount or 1 day. Bah! He's on leave until Monday now so won't find out until next week or when it will start from.
I suppose it's good to finally have part confirmation but annoying not to have it finalised.
I have to say I always get a bit jittery when things start going right, as if there's going to be something to ruin it again.
Working today, a short course tomorrow morning then off on our break.
A few bits and pieces next week then off for half term. Whilst on my leave I really need to sort out my pensions, I have 4 pensions, 2 are through work, 1 needs to be combined with an exisiting one as it's the same company and the last one is a pitiful £100 from a short job I had so want to transfer that too.
I am useless with pensions stuff so it might take me a while.
Right I have a meeting, see you later. H x1 -
Whoop I'm back, head of HR phoned and said I was getting an extra 1 1/2 days starting from Monday. It's until the end of the financial year initially but with my colleague then going on maternity leave hopefully it will be extended.
The extra pennies will definitely help over the next few months.

Quick post before heading off for the weekend, the boy is home in about 1/2 an hour then we need to go and pick up dd. Bags are just about packed but not much needed to be honest.
Payslip is in, boo to tax but still should be able to put another £600 in the school fees pot and a little bit in each of the savings funds.
Next loan payment goes out tomorrow, so close to this finishing it's exciting!
I've got some thoughts and plans about all the savings goals and have also been playing around with the mortgage overpayment calculator. I'm looking forward to updating my budget in January 2022.
Have a fab weekend all, H x1 -

We had an absolutely fabulous time away, so nice to recharge and get some fresh air. I know I work outdoors but it's different when you're with loved ones. We found a great museum too and came home buzzing.
A busy week ahead and then on leave, it will be nice to set my out of office reply on Friday.
Finances looking ok, loan payment has gone out so now a balance of £320.81 to go, if I had a lump sum coming in I would pay it off but nothing at the moment.
Current savings:
Dd school £1000/£2600 - need to send some more to this when I get paid next Monday.
Guttering £50/?
Emergency Fund £50/£1000 (first goal)
Dd Trust fund £850/£1000 - not long to go.
I'll pay some more to my folks when I get child benefit in on 2nd November.
I have my two sessions tonight for my business, I have a girl coming back to the group which is good. I will have a few moving up to my older club after Xmas so need to start looking at filling those places.
Hope everyone has a good day, H x1
