Well my day has not gone as expected, woke up in the night in agony with my hand, I must have kept drifting off as didn't get up for painkillers. Anyway my carpal tunnel syndrome has flared up and my hand is swollen and very sore. I've nearly passed out twice with the pain. I took tablets and dd went to get paracetamol but it's still really bad.
So feeling sorry for myself and not achieving much. If it's still like this tomorrow I'll have to call in sick as I can't drive and can't do care.
A few surveys done, another £5 cashed out and sent to school pot.
Back soon, when I've worked out funds.

Thanks SH & Monz, swelling has gone down but still painful. I've had to phone in sick for my night shift tonight as I wouldn't be able to support people or use mobility equipment. It's the first time I've phoned in sick but I made sure I gave as much notice as possible.
Not much achieved again, so frustrating on my week off!
More surveys completed plus cashed in some old scratch cards, another £15 sent to school fund. It's going to be really tight to get the full amount but I will 'borrow' from other pots as a last resort.
Not much planned for the weekend, all depends on the hand. As a very active person it drives me nuts when I can't get out and about.
In small wins I got a diary for 2022 for £1.30 from C8rd Fact8ry.
Spaghetti and meatballs for tea, try and find a film and relax.
Hope everyone has a good weekend, H x1 -

Afternoon all, busy but productive day so far. DH and I have made and potted ready meals for the next couple of weeks, we have Shepherd's Pie, Spaghetti & Meatballs and Curry & Rice. I did convince him that we need to use proper rice and not microwave packs as they are expensive. Slowly getting him used to a few subtle changes in the shopping. We have some ingredients to use up so will have beef wraps tomorrow.
Hand is much better today just a few twinges but no swelling.
Trying to get things organised ready to get back to school/work. Uniform is drying, dinner payment for ds is playing up it's taken my payment but not showing up on the site and keep getting an error message. I'll check again tomorrow after they've done their scheduled maintenance.
Surveys are slow today but dh has been paid and I've rounded up the payment to school fund so that is now sitting at £1300/£2800. Next monies to go in are £50 from c/b and £20 from coaching on Tuesday.
I've done ynab ready for the month, only need to get dd a little something for her birthday and just keep our heads down to save money.
It will get easier, just need to keep working.

Good morning, just waiting for a meeting to start. Dd back at school today and then drop the car at the garage for the service, it's only around the corner so not far to walk home.
Lots gone out today direct debit wise including the mortgage so huge chunk out. I've paid my parents £100 and sent £50 to school fees, I can transfer the £20 from my coaching now as there's enough in the account so now £1370/£2800, nearly half way!
Back in a bit, H x1 -
Right 3 hour meeting done! Had lunch and picked up the car. No problems except I need to replace the 2 front tyres in the near future and get the tracking done. I'm hoping I can eek this out until after Xmas.
Money in from survey and cashback so another £20 to school funds - £1390/£2800, it will continue to be drip fed until I get paid again on 18th.
I need to update ynab with all the outgoings.
All pretty boring really but looking forward to my other brother and his wife visiting this week, hopefully he'll be a bit more chilled out than the last time he was here!

Well done on getting to half way on the school fees.
