    Welcome back to diaryland.  It was lovely to see you posting again. I think with everything that has happened in your life recently - especially with DD's school - it's not surprising something had to give. I've increased my debt slightly and only have an EF due to a gift from family. No judgment here...

    Howdy! Another busy day, had to log on to work stuff to sort out a link that went out and wasn't quite right. Only took a few minutes and then promptly logged off again.

    All my jobs completed again, so nice that it doesn't seem like a chore when they're broken down. Fantastic to make the payment to dd trust fund so that's a goal completed and if we can add anything in the future then I'll try but for now the focus moves on to the next thing.

    I'm going to start putting aside funds for accommodation for our trips, if dh gets a bonus this year we'll use that to pay for it and move whatever I've already saved to the guttering fund but we'll wait and see. He usually finds out about March time.

    A few surveys done, I managed to get on to the site that was playing up. Redeemed £5 paypal voucher - now which pot to send it to?

    I need to do a menu for tomorrow and do a proper shop at some point, back to work tomorrow and the start of some of my coaching. It's back to being very busy which I love!

    Goals for tomorrow:
    * Return all the equipment lying around the house to go back to the club lock-up, I've already loaded it in the car.
    * Garden - clear away weeds from veg patch.
    * Financial - send invoice when I get address, and update business paperwork ready for starting next week.
    * Debt/savings - pay for sports events tickets £320!

    Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their bank holiday, and if you're going back to work tomorrow take it easy!

    Sounds really productive. The weather seems a little warmer the last few days. Hoping that helps with heating bills.

    Evening all, just back in from a very cold run - mixture of sleet, hailstones and wind. Had a lovely bowl of soup which I got from the freezer supplies and a roll.

    A mixture of successes today, took all the equipment back this morning, have paid for the sports tickets, updated business paperwork. I still haven't been able to send invoice as colleague hasn't replied to message, I'll ask someone else tomorrow and hope to get that sent off. I didn't get out in the garden as it was freezing today so will try and do tomorrow.

    I made a mistake with thinking that Jan and Feb are council tax and water free months, it's Feb and Mar isn't it. Never mind I can always move the money back this month if needed.

    Busy day tomorrow, I need to follow dh to a garage as his work van needs an MOT, then drop him him before I go to the tip. Lots of work to do and then at some point take dh to get his van and then 2 sessions at club.

    I realised that I haven't done a round up of all the things we did achieve last year, despite having this new debt I think it still can be celebrated:

    * Brought a shed for the garden and did all the prep work to the ground.
    * Paid for a lot of plumbing work to be done (not the boiler)
    * Paid off nearly 2 loans
    * Paid off credit card
    * Paid two lots of school fees
    * Paid off car loan
    * Own business going well

    Actually that's quite a lot! Hopefully with my increase in hours I can get the savings pots in a better position and start tackling this new debt. When I am ready to do so it will be dh computer that I target first as I can make extra payments.

    So mini goals for tomorrow:
    House - tidy up under coats area were all the equipment I took back today was covering, plus get ds to help me clean out the fish tank.
    Garden - Take items to the tip, I've loaded the car already apart from one item to go in.
    Financial - Try and get the address, plus sort out f-i-l birthday present
    Debt/Savings - hmm not sure yet.

  • Cor blimey where do the days go, so busy. Nothing major to report with debts or savings really. I received my refund from the old chap that I had to post the invoice to, that just stayed back in the account.

    Things coming up in the next few days; dh birthday, get paid from second job so will move that into school fund.

    DH has been offered a promotion which he is thinking about, it's a big increase in wages but it comes with long days, alternate weekends and obviously more responsibility. He has turned it down in the past because the pay previously was terrible compared to what he does now but with all the extra so it was a no-brainer. He thinking about it more this time in terms of getting a good wage for the last few years of his working life and also the life of the place he works (it's a natural resource with a finite offering). He's going to talk to his boss more tomorrow.

     I'm still trying to get my extra days made permanent, it frustrates me how they can employ lots of other people without thinking about it but don't look after the people they have.

    No time for mini goals at the moment, really busy next few days.

    Right bedtime, H x

    Glad the invoice was settled. Nice offer for DH regardless of whether he takes it. Frustrating on your job though - I get that.

  • Really struggling with everything at the moment and it's not like me, I have an appointment with the GP on Monday to see if I'm peri-menopausal because I have symptoms and I'm not right. Everything feels like an effort and I have no energy, I've gone from running a marathon to finding it hard to run 5km!

    It's my anniversary today and I feel flat because I feel frumpy and unattractive.

    I am annoyed because I've got lots to do and can't be bothered, plus I love all the things I do so hate feeling like this.

    Apologies for all the self-pity I know others have far worse things going on, I'm just finding all the frustrating things about work, the house etc is 100 times worse.

    DH isn't taking the job, the money turns out to be rubbish, he wouldn't get a vehicle so absolutely no incentive to take it.

    Right off to write a list of what I need to do and tackle it one at a time.

    Hopefully normal service resumed soon, H x

    Everyone has off days. Good idea to speak to the doc. If you can’t vent on your diary where can you?  Take care, have a bubble bath or something that floats your boat.

    Hope you feel better soon. I think the time of year doesn't help either. I agree with lucielle vent away - that's why we have a diary isn't it?
