Good afternoon, as predicted a manic but good couple of weeks. Lovely to have on board a new colleague to cover someone's leave for the next year. It does however show how little the other person has been doing, as we've achieved more in the last week than has happened in the last few months!
Excited to get so much done this year, still waiting on confirmation of hours but can't see it not happening to be honest.
In big news, after much to-ing and fro-ing plus further interviews dh has been promoted with a hefty pay rise plus more to come when he completes a qualification. He also negotiated keeping his vehicle. We had a little celebration but back to our plans now.
It does mean that the things we're working towards can happen a bit quicker now, just hope that nothing scuppers our plans.
Finances ok, but need to spend a bit next week on the car as have to get the locking nut chiselled off as some idiot did it too tight and wrecked it. I have some money in the savings pots to cover it.
Oven payments now down to £300, ds trip now £450, loan ticking along and owe parents £700.
I get paid from second job next Friday so that will be another lump sum to school fees, with only a small bit to add before making payment on 4th April.
Savings for guttering are now £615/£1000, slowly getting there.
I'm on leave next week then another busy week away, then final bits of leave for the financial year and then I can hit April onwards wih a clear plan.
Ooh and feeling a bit better too!
Right must catch up on diaries, H x4 -

Well my week off has been a bit pants, I worked Sunday night then spent most of Monday sleeping and felt awful Monday evening. 2 days of feeling poorly and now Thursday and feeling better! PCR and lft's all negative so that's a bonus.
Today I spent the morning waiting for my car, used the time to buy my friend's birthday presents although now a bit late in posting due to being poorly.
Anyway car is sorted, just need a brake fluid change which dh work colleague will do next week. I can now get tyre change when I get paid.
Had my payslip from second job, a bit of backdated pay in there from cost of living increase. I will move that over to school fees pot tomorrow when it hits the account.
Not sure what to do with my last couple of days off, might go for a walk up the hill tomorrow and there was talk of going to the cinema with the vouchers we have. Working Saturday night and then back to main job on Monday morning.
I need to update my budget and do a meal plan too as that has slipped, although all meals from the freezer this evening.
See you later, H x1 -
Sorry you've been unwell. Glad the backpay turned up though - and that you have a friend who can help replace your brake fluid. Hope you manage to do something positive for you. I'm really enjoying learning water colour painting currently.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Sorry you have been unwell, i've also been ill but tested negative. There seems to be somenasty bugs going around as wellas covid.
Great news about the backpay, hope you managed the walk xx2 -
Blimey time is just flying by! So back to being busy, I have another trip to the capital at the weekend for an event. Major amounts of coffee will be needed as working Friday night, then train to the city on Saturday lunch time, clocks go forward overnight and need to be at event by 0730 for the full day. I'm glad my colleague is driving us back as I don't think I would be safe.
Finances ticking along although seem to have spent an awful lot on food again, paid another £100 to my parents - now have £600 to go, dd school fees are due first week of April should get expenses tomorrow and dh pay next week will be enough for the cost. Does feel a bit odd to pay a huge amount when she's going to be off for 4 weeks of April!
Still waiting on dh confirmation letter and also separate news of his annual bonus.
Had 2 newcomers at my sessions yesterday so numbers on paper back up but a few kids missing due to Covid being rife around here. Income sent over to guttering fund, now at £645 slowly getting to target.
Main focus for next few months - pay ds school trip balance £450, accommodation costs for sports event.
Hope you're enjoying the sunshine, H x1 -
