  • Hope you are feeling a bit brighter, I hate this time of year the dark, cold and wet just doesn't help with motivation. Try to take some time out or you even if it's just going for a walk and stopping or a coffee. xx

  • Thanks everyone, so I went to GP on Monday who was lovely and really listened to everything I was saying especially as I said about all the things that were out of character plus some physical changes/concerns that all happened at the same time.

She checked me over and prescribed some things to help with the physical things to help ease them, plus she straight away arranged for blood tests and an ultrasound. I have the blood tests on Friday and just waiting for an appointment for scan.

Chatted about some things to look at next time after all the results come back including mood and tiredness etc. but I've tried to make a conscious effort to help myself including making sure I switch off technology when I go to bed, reading a book and dropping off. I'm still tired and finding things difficult but glad that I am getting some help.

I spoke to my friend last night and she is going through it too, we're going to visit her over Easter as haven't seen her for so long and miss her.

In financial news it seems like things are taking forever but really we're ok, I've paid the next installment for ds school trip and moved money to savings pots. Paid some more to my parents, now owe £800 to them.

February should be fairly ok, no birthdays, no big bills. DH gets paid on Tuesday so I'll put some money in the guttering fund and some off the oven debt.

If I achieve 3 things today I'll be happy - hang up the washing, plan sports session for tonight, research for work project.

Sounds like you have a good GP there who actually listened. Hope things resolve for you soon.

Well done on the £ stuff

  • Morning all, just checking in. Seems like not much is happening but it is! Need to learn to be patient.

Health wise I've had my bloods taken so waiting for results, my scan is on Sunday. Feeling a bit better in myself except the tiredness is overwhelming, not a great day today. I'm taking some supplements to try and help a bit whilst I wait to go back to GP.

Hubby was paid yesterday, I moved some money into the guttering fund and a bit more today, this now stands at £345. I'm aiming to get to £1000 and then start getting quotes. I'm waiting for the next payment to go out for the oven then I'll pay a bit more towards that, if I do it before hand it will reduce the direct debit so better to wait and take the extra off.

Apart from that work is busy, I still haven't had any confirmation that my increase hours will continue from April (apparently they're waiting until they've looked at the budgets for the next year) but I'm off half term week.

    Hope everyone ok, H x

Hello H, hope everything goes ok with the scan.  In 2018 I was functioning as a zombie, I've since found out I was B12 deficient and need injections every 3 months.  It has made a difference but I can tell when I'm due a top up.

  • Evening folks, hope you all had a good weekend.

Scan went ok, I have some Fibroids but not clear whether they're causing any problems, I've got to have my bloods done again as the sample was contaminated apparently so must rearrange that tomorrow.

On Thursday I picked up my first request from Oli*, I only asked for 3 loaves of bread but I came away with multiple loaves, rolls, veg, lemons, stir-fry packs - my freezer is absolutely jam packed and have already used lots. I've only had to buy a few bits the last few days.

Finances all ok, waiting for a refund for a work expense from local chap who only writes cheques, plus my actual work expenses. These will go to the guttering fund. Today the oven payment went out and I also paid a bit extra so I'm hoping when I log in, in a few days this will be down to £380.

Current debts and savings look like this:

    Debts
    Oven £380
    Computer £2397.08
    Loan £2765.61
    Parents £800

Total £6342.69 - ooh that's gutting since we were so close to being debt free!

    Savings
    School Fees £1400/£2800
    Guttering & Pipes £345/£1000
    Emergency Fund ££150/£1000

We've decided that due to me not being 100% I won't do my race in Scotland so no need to book accommodation, just need hotel for sporting event that we're going to watch.

Not looking forward to all the bills going up, my gas/elec is going up from £90 to £139 next month already. We're careful anyway but I've started turning down the heating early and hopefully can turned off again soon.

Hope everyone's Monday has been ok, H x
