Afternoon peeps, well the weekend was a blur. Had a bit of a problem with trains being cancelled and delayed but eventually made it down south. Sunday was brill and have been using the last of my leave until I go back tomorrow.

It must be the day of HR/Finance department getting their act together, dh got his letter of promotion (yay), he also got his bonus letter (double yay), I got paid my expenses not only for February but also March (triple yay).

So I've moved the remaining amount ready to pay dd school fees on Monday, dh starts his new job on Friday 1st (oh the irony) and with the bonus - dh is having a bit, the kids will have £100 each and the rest will be used on the accommodation for sports event and see what's left.

My brother is up visiting but unfortunately has tested positive for Covid so haven't seen him, I did drop off his birthday presents for next week. Never be so organised with presents! I have another 3 birthdays in April including my own.

My business accounts are small but healthy, now about to enter my 4th financial year (3 1/2 in reality). Very lucky to be able to fill places and love it. I moved my coaching fee to the guttering fund, another little bit towards it.

Still need to do a meal plan, currently making a large amount of soup for tea and to freeze for my night shifts.

    See you later, H x

Afternoon, so absolutely shattered as I worked last night and then hardly slept as next door were having so work done so lots of drilling! Never mind I'll sleep tonight :-)

Dd's school fees have been paid and then have received an email saying her exam fees were through so can you pay another £143. Not sure I was aware of that, need to read back over terms and conditions.

This month is looking expensive already, dd has been offered a place at a residential course next week at Oxford Uni. It's a free event and her accommodation is included but I will need to drive her down, stay in a hotel and also change a tyre before we go. It's a fab opportunity for her and I'm going to try and get to some of the museums whilst I'm there.

No much to go out to debt in the next couple of weeks just the daily costs of living, although will save a bit on fuel costs as dd not back to school until 26th.

    Hope everyone ok, H x
  • Hi Huggle, well done on paying the school fees, sorry there is extra to pay. The course for your DD sounds like a fab opportunity, nice for you to have some me time as well , I would love a day mooching around Oxford.

Sounds like lots of financial challenges. A trip to Oxford sounds nice though.

So today's word is LIVID I am absolutely fed up with the lack of communication from my employer as to my hours, we sat through a Budget and Ops meeting yesterday with a huge amount of targets and my colleague and I said that's all well and good but if I'm dropping back down to 1 day a week for the programme then it's not going to happen!

I emailed my boss and the HR Manager and asked for clarity, as it stands I've done all my hours for this week and I'm not doing any more.

If they don't confirm the hours I need to find £300 a month to make up for the shortfall, so currently looking at other options. If I get more hours from second job I get taxed on basic rate. If I start extra coaching through my own business I need to research further as to tax implications there.

The complete disregard for their employees is frustrating and shambolic, it looks hugely embarrassing for my colleague who is new to the organisation and also a friend.

Ok rant over, my hormones are horrendous today and this isn't helping.

Apart from a meeting at 1pm today that's it, I'm not working the rest of the week. I'm going to log off and do my own thing.

DH job going well, very busy already.

The sun is shining, I have lovely kids to coach this evening.

    Hmmm....... H x

Sorry that comms are so poor! Really frustrating for you and worrying too money wise I imagine. Hope things get sorted quickly.

So it's a no, my colleague told me on Wednesday and because of my stupid hormones I burst into tears!

I am quite frankly at rock bottom, I told her that I have been running the programme whilst the other person had essentially done nothing.

If they expect that I can achieve half the targets they are living in a dream world. If they think I'll ever miss a family occasion for them, they are wrong.

Anyway, I've already been talking to other people about potential projects with my own business so after I have a few more discussions I can have a plan.

I've picked up more shifts with my 2nd job and also had the nice email about a bonus of roughly £1000 so that will either go towards one of the family trips or dd school fees to get ahead.

Dh is a bit stressed in his new job but I said to him he's only in his first week, the other Assistant Manager is on mat leave so he's doing her job too plus still trying to do part of his old job!

One day we won't have to fight every day, feels like we always take a step forward and something else happens.

Despite my miserable post, I'm feeling better today and can focus on getting some extra work and looking forward to time with the family.

    H x
