Hugglemonster hits the debt hard!

Afternoon all, just popping on before I have an online lesson then need to leave to drive to Mid-Wales to do a visit for work.
Busy weekend putting up the shed, did most of it on Saturday afternoon when I got up from a night shift, then finished off yesterday morning. It's looking fab, makes such an impact in the garden and dh is keen to get on with the rest of the ideas.
We were shattered yesterday but the kids helped and also helped with the dinner, dd kneaded the dough for Foccacia and ds helped to make the leek and potato soup. After all our hard work it was perfect!
DH and I are actually going out for dinner on Friday night, we haven't been out for so long so it will be lovely just the two of us, kids are going to my parents for the night.
The house is looking a state as we've got lots of bits out from doing the shed so we need to start putting the gardening stuff in the new shed and then tidy up the main one over the next few days.
No payments to debt but hoping to pay myself another little bit from business and that will go to the credit card.
3 weeks until annual leave, can't wait to have a break.

All sounding busy at yours, glad you are making progress with the shed and it's looking good.
Have a good week xx2 -
Good evening, I've just done my budget ready for July and it's going to be tight. I haven't put in a figure for food, fuel or other expenses and I will have £350 to over it all. This doesn't take into account the income I get from second job as that goes on the school fees. Hmm I still have food left over from this weeks shopping so can stretch it out a bit more.
Ooh I didn't say what I've done with the shopping / menu - in a bid to try and reduce our spending I've done a 3 week menu with some meals that can be adapted to mix it up e.g. I haven't specified what soup to make, just what we fancy. I've done the shopping list to go with it, just need to print out and check the cupboards etc.
It's been so handy having everything ready to go. I can prepare during the day if I'm here and also the kids are cooking for themselves more when we're out at clubs in the evening.
On the finances a bit more, I'll be due £200 back in expenses but won't be until the end of the month and hope to get the bonus payment on the 18th.
Not a lot to pay out for only 2 birthdays, we do need some shelves for the shed but they will be cheap and will try and source some freebies.
Right aiming for a quiet month! H x1 -
Fingers crossed for a quiet month xx1

Good morning, well this is usually the period of the month when it's slow in terms of debt busting but I've managed to pay myself the last bit of monies owed from my business and pay another bit off the credit card. All monies for the business will now build back up and I'm running some sessions over the school holidays but I won't have facility hire to pay for as using an outside venue.
Very proud of dd she went for a trial for a job and got on well, she's quite socially awkward so a big deal for her. Hopefully she'll find out today if she got the job.
I've been asked if I would consider training for the additional sporting role again by the leisure department, sounds like the training and commitment would fit better with everything else I do and again additional income. Realistically won't start until beginning of 2022.
Not much else to report, buckling down for the next week before my annual leave.

Evening x
Glad I'm now on leave except for one night shift tomorrow, genuinely can't believe in my job that there are people who take advantage and disregard others who might not be elite athletes but believe me if it wasn't for them our sport would die out. Biting my tongue is getting harder and harder, need to chill out - take a deep breath and work with those who are positive and want to develop and make the sport better.
In good news the bonus is getting paid tomorrow, can't believe I'll be able to clear a huge chunk in one hit!
More tomorrow, feeling a bit meh but know there are folk on here going through the mill and thinking of them.

Whoop whoop it's done - £500 off the credit card bringing it down to £750. The loan payment also went out today and I've rounded it down but will revise today when the actual figure refreshes.
I'm heading towards being in 3 figures and the last few months of debt, apart from the mortgage. In fact I was chatting to dh today whilst out on our walk and he's keen to start overpaying the mortgage next. Result!!
I've sent some money over to dd school fees pot, will add my expenses to it when it gets paid next week.
On a night shift tonight then I'm on leave properly, lots of training planned for next week towards my big event. The weather is looking good.
Ds has finished school for the summer, need to arrange his birthday treat for him and his friends to one of those climbing up in the high ropes places. I've done it before but dh hasn't so he is going round with them.
Lots of odd jobs need doing in the house and garden so I'll be tackling them next week, no news from carpenter again - I think I'll start putting more towards getting the guttering done and get it out of the way.
Have a lovely weekend, I have a race on Sunday - going to stick two fingers up to the person who insulted non-elite athletes as I cross the finish line as he'll be there. It will be in my head though not for real else I'll lose my job!

Good afternoon, wow that weekend passed in a blur. Had an interesting night shift which has meant that procedures and risk assessments are being updated. Nothing serious but need to have in place incase it happens again.
Slept late on Saturday but then had a fun late afternoon having a water fight with the kids and dh!
Did the race on Sunday, it was so hot and was my worst time ever but absolutely amazing to see so many people. The horrible person was acknowledged but ignored, but I have an ally it turns out and the event might just go ahead despite the miserable one.
We were meant to go over and do another recce of my race route but far too hot so have spent the morning in the garden planting out my herbs and clearing weeds. I'm going to measure the pipes needed for outside and also get a new adapter for the hose pipe as that is leaking too.
The water hammer in the toilet has started again meaning another change of plan, we're going to get the bathroom done so we can get the toilet sorted properly and might as well get the whole things done. Any recommendations of companies that do the whole lot as don't want to do it piecemeal and spend ages waiting for tradespeople.
Friday is pay day so can sort out finances, I worked out that to clear the rest of the credit card by Xmas I need to pay £150 per month. This is achievable and hope to do it sooner.
Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine, H x3
