Thanks SH, still no news about him but they are notoriously bad for sharing news!
Hmmm definitely something in the air today - lots of police down towards the beach, some frayed tempers on the forum (quiet rightly I think!) and getting frustrated with a colleague who keeps asking the same question over and over!
Not much going on debt busting wise but made a small payment of £10 to credit card and reduced the limit again.
Next bigger payments to card and school fees will be in two weeks time plus scheduled loan payment. Need to find something to keep it ticking along.
Still no news from the plasterer r.e. costings but we're another day nearer to the shed being delivered. Oh thank goodness for the small things!

Hi folks, well as usual it's been really busy which I love but I am tired and looking forward to my annual leave from both jobs when ds breaks up for the summer holidays.
So what's been going on:
* F-i-L has another scan tomorrow, hope to prise some information out of them when I'm down there next week.
* Painful teeth have been removed, now a dull pain until it heals but a hell of a lot better than the pain with them in.
* I need to get a tyre checked out before my trip down south, I have the money in my car repairs pot - yay!
* We took dd for a visit to the new school yesterday and she loved it, need to factor in some clothes and travel costs into the budget.
* Paid myself another bit back from own business and sent that to the credit card, mainly paid the interest for the month but no point in moving as it will be gone soon.
So what's coming up:
* Trip down south next week, we're being treated to an evening meal but need to allow pennies for lunch and fuel (to be reclaimed).
* Just messaged plasterer about our work that needs doing.
* Pay next week will go to dd school fees pot and other income to credit card.
* Need to get out in the garden tomorrow to repot herbs and tomatoes plus tidy up, shed will be with us a week Tuesday.
* Sort out car tyre and some other work that will doing doing before the MOT in August.
Not sure when we'll get our £500 bonus, I was toying with the idea of paying off the loan to just have 1 debt left might be a nice boost - decisions, decisions!

Just popping on before I try and have a couple of hours sleep before my night shift tonight, had a real first-world woe is me moment this morning when I was tidying up and looking at how much needs doing in the house. I'm so glad we don't have visitors because it looks awful and I'm not the best at waiting for others to reply to requests so we can book the work to be done and make some actual progress.
It did pass however when I spent some time out the front with dh, he strimmed the hedges and we both cleared up then he cut the grass out there and I cleared the weeds from the path using my new little toy that is like a tiny scythe! The back garden is also taking shape with the herbs and tomatoes re-potted so they can grow again, flowers are in bloom and the washing is on the line.
I've also re-potted our 2 house plants and moved them into sunlight to see if it will help them spring into a bit more life.
So although there's lots to be done I need to keep reminding myself of what we can do, the fact that they'll be a bit more progress when the shed arrives and we can sort out the main shed and tidy up in there. There are also plenty of little jobs that can be done to keep the house going whilst we wait for work to be done and eventually need to save a huge amount for the kitchen and the main shed to be rebuilt in the future.
Ooh and has anyone got any suggestions how to stop one of the neighbours cats from peeing outside our back door? I've cleaned it and also put down orange essential oil but it's not deterring the little fiend.
DH had good news from family, f-i-l scans are clear and no cancer visible.
Another busy week ahead, some more debt busting and reminding myself all is good.

Morning all, busy day today I've already been out to get the tyre changed on the car then transferred the money back from my bills pot. Such a revelation to have this money set aside I wished I'd done it years ago! It will be the first thing I teach the kids about budgeting. I've also put fuel in the car ready for the trip down south tomorrow, £40 does not go very far these days so will need to top up on Thursday, just need to check the oil and water and clear out my sports kit from the boot.
New session starts this evening so 2 hours of club, looking forward to meeting some new kids.
Money in today so have made a payment of £70 to the credit card bringing this down to £1400, loan payment goes out tomorrow and I'm aiming to go sub £2k by the end of the week.
I should get my payslip from second job today or tomorrow then I can see how much to put towards school fees.
Right need to crack on, see you later H x1 -
Glad you managed to get the tyre sorted and safe trip down south, xx3

Good evening, had a great time in the capital it was lovely to see my colleagues and relax with them then had a nice meal paid for by work. They were all happy because Wales won the football which was on whilst we were in the pub.
Great to see the in-laws especially my niece, dd had a nice time with them when I was busy in Cardiff. We left about 0930 and managed to get back home before the end of school so we stopped for dd to pick up her GCSE results - super proud 10 A* 1 A and 1 B for Welsh Bac. Amazing!
Loan payment cleared and now down to a shade under £632 so paid £50 to credit card to now bring us under the £2k mark. So pleased with this, no more payments for a bit I think as need to prioritise other things. Pay tomorrow will go to dd school fees and nearly there with the first terms payment being ready.
Early night tonight, lots to do over the next few days and weeks, I'm actually shattered!
