  • Afternoon all, we ended up having a curry as the Chinese was shut - it was delicious!

Received my payslip today from main job and guess what it's wrong again and no back pay, I have emailed yet again to point it out. It's only a few pounds but it's my few pounds, so annoying.

Enjoying my week off despite not doing much, I have a night shift at 2nd job on Saturday then back to work on Monday and lots to do plus some feedback about a campaign we're delivering which I think is really shoddy and uninspiring but this is work from an outside company not our team but frustrating we are paying them.

Oh and our vibrating pipes are back, seems to be pressure to the toilet and washing machine, anyone know how we can increase water pressure? Or sort this out without a plumber, we've drained the system lots of times to get rid of air block but only works for a while.

Itching to make a payment to debt, must check survey sites and see if anything ready to be cashed out!

Hope no-one is too affected by the weather, H x

So annoying about the £ and they are never quick enough to repay.

Annoying about backpay may be able to demand it quicker as an unlawful deduction of wages. Legal term

  • Having a lazy day again but we have plans - as well as digging out the garden we have decided to give the kitchen a lick of paint and a few other jobs. It looks awful and dirty and will be ages before we can get a complete refit so we've decided to paint the walls, clean and tidy/organise, I've ordered some new door handles to bring a bit of colour, shame we can't do anything with the floor - most of the tiles are cracked but no point in changing. Need to dig the paint out of the shed and will make a start when I get up after sleeping from night shift tonight.

I've been paid early so have done my banking jobs, move money to all my different pots and savings accounts and they're starting to look healthy - currently have £150 in emergency fund, £150 in general savings, £100 Xmas fund, £40 car repairs (I still have the service plan for a few more months), £40 clothes fund, £120 guttering fund, £130 annual bills, £10 vet fund.

Really pleased with this, I did decided not to pay the car tax in full because I had paid for the vets and a right hassle to change back which is very lazy but I will definitely do this next year.

Cashed out £10 from cashback site but despite itching to make a payment I'll wait until Tuesday and then send over £150 to the credit card.

Great budgeting.  Decorating sounds a good plan too

  • Hi folks, currently sitting here trying to work but no one is responding to emails or messages, not sure if the whole organisation has taken a day off! I have a meeting at 6pm and need some info but if no one gets back to me then it's going to be a very short meeting!

Finally my back pay is sorted and the hourly rate updated on a new pay slip, I've sent over a small payment to the card looking forward to tomorrow's debt busting and also keep thinking about how nice it will be to use the money in the future for savings, treats and work on the house. Ooh and extra payments to the mortgage!

Had some sad news over the weekend that one of my Aunts passed away, she had been poorly for a while with two conditions and didn't want any treatment. Still sad although expected and just want to go and give my Dad a big hug!

I actually have a meal plan this week and picked up some reduce meat and fish which I've put in the freezer for a future meal.

Hope everyone is enjoying the snow, we have none! H x

Sorry for your loss. Not easy at the best of time but when you can't go and comfort family it is even harder.

  • Thanks SH, yep keep thinking we'll be back together soon.

Excited today as the two payments have been made, car loan has gone out which means there are only 4 payments left to go. Also paid £150 off the card, this is coming down nicely now.

My balance is now about £40 of going down into the next £k bracket but must be sensible and look forward to next week when I can pay off a bit more.

Hope everyone has a good day, I've got meeting after meeting today!

Well done on the payments. So will you be free of the car loan in May then? That's when I'm hoping to be debt free other than the mortgage
