Good afternoon, just popping on before having lunch then a few hours kip and then work tonight.
Not much going on financially except a survey site has now hit the payment threshold of £50, once I get the email that it's on it's way then I'll pay that off the credit card. Next year there will be a few changes in the budget so I thought I'd list them to keep on track.
Jan - Elec/Gas payments go down from £83 to £78
Feb - Mortgage interest rate goes down from 2.19% to 1.89% and the monthly payment from £570.67 to £557.75 No council tax or water payments so will go to credit card
Mar - As above plus can change my mobile phone package which I will reduce as no handset needed.
Apr - Fully expecting council tax and water to increase.
June - Search around for car insurance and will be able to pay in full as will have enough in the budget to cover by then.
I think that will do for now, plenty to be getting on with!

Sending positive thoughts for 2021, let's hope things start to improve over the year - I've no doubt it will be some time before we can get together more often but hope we can see all the people we've missed at some point soon.
Another survey site has reached redemption so £25 to come in the next few weeks, great to be able to send £75 to credit card when the pennies come in. Will be lovely when I can use that money for the family instead of debt.
I've picked up another night shift next week, they're 12 hours so plenty to add to the coffers. Today I've replaced our microwave and brought some steaks and bubbly for a treat for tea. I've also been to the tip to get rid off the accumulated cardboard boxes that were cluttering up the house.
A chill out evening then tomorrow will be spent going for a walk and checking that dh is paid.
Happy new year everyone, H x

Happy New Year. Sounds a fun evening.
Someone just gave me a reed diffuser as a Christmas present and it has set off my allergies. Just relegated it to the garage LOL.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Good morning, back to work today so waiting for our first meeting at 11am. I've caught up with a few emails already, need to have THE conversation in our meeting tomorrow to clear the air!
A big money outgoings day today due to the bank holiday so lots of direct debits out which made me wince but all necessary bills, a few days now until the next one goes out. No debt payments until I get some cashback in and then wait for pay from second job on 18th.
I've been looking for a sideboard for under our stairs to put my work things in as currently a mess and am watching one on *bay which is listed for 99p, I'm going to keep watching until the end as I don't think they'll be much local interest. If I can get it I will give it a paint to smarten it up.
I'm working tonight so will need a little nap, other than that all quiet - kids are back to online schooling on Wednesday.

What a great idea! Also look on Freecycle as lots of treasures on there.
Woukd love to see the pictures before and after!x2 -
I think I must be really out of touch, looking today for a duvet cover with aircraft on as dh has requested a double duvet and duvet covers with aircraft on for his birthday (don't ask, whatever makes him happy
) and I can't believe the prices of the duvet sets. Admittedly it's probably been about 15-20 years since we last brought a set but blimey how do they cost so much, seen some for over £100 - why? I've saved a bit on his duvet by using the voucher I was going to save for Xmas but still it's a lot of money!
Anyway back to other things, all quiet here actually have had a day off work need to do a bit tomorrow and then working a night shift in other job. When I was in on Monday I asked about pay for the 2 training days I did last month and it was confirmed I should add this to my timesheet, I should get a decent pay packet this month. I had my moan in my other job and although I not convinced by the answer from the two people I'm not one to dwell on it and just need to remember to let them get on with it as long as it doesn't affect me and just be wary of what I say to them. In the grand scheme of things it's very petty on their part but if it makes them feel important then crack on!
I've also sorted my contract and back pay, not as much as I thought but at least it's all done now.
Nothing else going on, I saw a sideboard on fb marketplace but unfortunately too long and too narrow - just seen another one but why don't people put the info on their posts.
Right I was honest with hubby and said the duvet cover was a no go so he has said just plain black, so sorted
We've been getting on with clearing the area for the shed, it's going to take a while but there's no time limit, H x

Evening all, hate this bit between payments and even worse I forgot about the interest added to credit card so balance is up a bit. Makes me more determined to pay it off, won't be long before I can throw some lump sums at it though.
I managed to get a sideboard for under the stairs, nothing needs doing to it which is great so spent some time over the weekend sorting out my work stuff. I still have a lot of boxes under there too but with all my different roles I need everything that is there. I reused the plastic drawers in ds bedroom to store some of his bits and pieces.
Work is busy and I'm on leave next week, also picked up another shift in second job.
Nothing else going on, f-i-l birthday tomorrow so have sent an e-voucher, dh on Friday his duvet has arrived and covers arriving on Friday (he is very happy).
On the plus side fitness going well, I need to test out my Xmas present soon on a long run but will need some water bottles first.
Hope all are well, H x0
