  • Thanks for the support, really need it at the moment sometimes it's hard to put a brave face on when you feel useless inside but I've spent the morning cleaning the house so that tomorrow I can go off for a long run/walk in the hills. Luckily they're right behind us so I don't need to travel!

I have an individual meeting on Thursday afternoon so I will be putting forward my case then I need to find out if I also have to put in writing. I've had details of the new job role and also what I would get if I was made redundant from that part of the job. It will help but obviously I want to keep my job as it is.

Plans for the rest of the day:
    * Make tomato soup and Foccacia for tea
    * Post letter to bank as they wanted the request for change of name on headed paper, I've literally just added my logo on to the same letter!
    * Get some bits and pieces for dd
    * Run group this evening.

Hope everyone has a nice day, the sun is shining H x
  • Morning just a quick post for now as off for a run, loan payment out today so have updated total and will check on amount when it clears tomorrow, HR got my redundancy figure wrong as they took it from when I started with the company not when I started the extra role! Spoke to boss yesterday and always cheered up after speaking to them and looking forward to catching up with my colleagues next week.

    See you later, H x
  • Hope things work out in your favourm

  • HI thanks for checking in SH & CmD, just felt like I've had nothing to write about and getting through the month. It's finally pay day tomorrow and can restart to fill all the savings pots again plus pay off the washing machine and the VR. The credit card has taken a hit so must start paying off as much as possible to get this back down again. Other than that should be no major expenses in October as we are not able to go and visit the in-laws for their anniversary as they are in lockdown but what to send them something nice as it's their 50th!

Work - It's been nice to catch up with work colleagues this week, some challenges ahead to keep going despite not being able to do any events or visits. No word on the other half of the job, Monday is the target day but that's not to say that there will be any news then or when it will be. Frustrating to listen to a colleague who is currently doing work on the programme as lovely as she is and I can't do a thing.

    Business - no news.

Home - need to spend some time cleaning and tidying the attic, also try and convince dh to start digging up the area where we want to put the shed.

Personal - running has been going well but ds has shared his cold and now I'm full of it, hope to get back out at the weekend or at least a walk.

    H x

  • Yay it's pay day and once again able to replenish pots and make some payments although not much will change in signature as separate to debts and credit card is way over so need to bring back down. Today I have; been food shopping (blimey expensive but needed lots of things stocking up), paid some money to dh Monzo card, sent some funds to savings, paid off VR in full saving a bit of interest and hence why I have the above Queen song in my head!

Still to do; get kids pocket money from the bank, pay off washing machine when dh gets paid, pay for pet insurance in full, sort out presents for in-laws anniversary, replenish my Monzo pots.

I have decided not to carry on with ynab as is on the kids computer which will be moved upstairs soon and can't get the app to work as I still have an old free version that doesn't recognise my log in, I have downloaded an app on to my phone which does the same thing and seem to be a good replacement so far. It still has budget categories and tells you how much is left as well as what you've spent and is coming up, plus lots more so quite happy with it.

Car payment goes out tomorrow so I will be able to update signature currently there are 9 payments left including tomorrows, but will obviously try to get this gone quicker.

A few surveys building up to payment but frustratingly one reward is out of stock that I use towards kids dinner money, how can a virtual card be out of stock?!?

Sorry for the text in the middle, it wouldn't go back to normal after adding the picture, hope weekend plans are good depending on local lockdowns - we're ok at the minute. H x
  • Well done on the payment. Hope you manage to have a good weekend despite the job concerns

I know, I've managed nearly 25 years and can't imagine another 25

We had a quite productive weekend but didn't manage to go out for a walk as still not feeling 100%, better now so will get back to fitness this week. On Saturday we cleaned and tidied the attic, got rid of a few things but nothing to sell unfortunately as we do use everything up there. We did bring down all our tapes and CDs that we have been meaning to sort out and never have so now I need to find a cheap or free cabinet for the lounge to store them in. The next job will be sorting out all the photos into albums and some to go up on the wall, we might not be decorating yet but we can still do that little job.

On Sunday we tidied up the garden and I dug up the potatoes, really disappointed that although the plants seemed to grow really well there were very few potatoes and they were small, only enough for two meals! The tomatoes however are still going strong and we have had plenty of fruits from them.

Hubby looked at the paved area we need to take out and agreed that we'll get that started in the next couple of weeks.

Finances - Car payment gone out so updated totals, need to catch up on some surveys to make some more payments to credit card. A small amount of expenses submitted to work but nothing else happening now until dh gets paid on Thursday.

    Work - no news

    Business - no news

Personal - get back to training this week

    We plod on.... H x
