Hugglemonster hits the debt hard!

Yesterday turned out to be busy pottering around, so lovely to see the kids at club in the evening and another session this evening. Everything is picking up again and getting more and more work emails so really hoping that they'll get us back soon, hate that other members of the team are doing my job if the work is there then surely I should be cracking on?
Finances - I've updated ynab for the month including paying off the loan, it will be very tight and we will have to really watch our spending but better to do this month when spending is still fairly low before things like fuel and activities increase. There are a few things I can do to ease the coffers. Survey like mad - some pay in cash, one prepaid card that I can use for school dinners and therefore reduce amount coming out of account, surveys for vouchers that can be used for dh kit. I'm going to do a menu today and also make some treats to stop the need for popping out for snacks. DH trip has been pushed back until a week later than planned so trying to get him to delay some of the bits he needs that don't have to be order or purchased until nearer the time.
Meter readings requested today and quite pleasantly surprised that despite us being at home we're only a few pounds out from our current balance so shouldn't be any change in the monthly payment. *** edit - there is a change, it's going down from £94 to £83!
Home - need to do the toilet part today, had to get a bigger spanner so I could take off the nut really hope it works as it's driving me nuts *** well I disappeared half way through writing this to try and sort it and it turned into an epic nightmare as with everything in this house! But after lots of swearing, frustration, leaking through the kitchen ceiling it is done. No vibrating pipes so far..... Right next to set up a pot in the Monzo account to start saving next month for the guttering.
Personal - another run done and finally made it to the top of the hill without stopping, little achievements. Shoulder is feeling a bit different in a good way, still sore but trying to sort out posture at the same time so probably not used to being in it's proper position.
Right need to get some food in as out again later for 2 sessions, H x

Well done- a massive amount achieved. Some of the surveys are very random arent they! Still even a small trickle all helps!

Glad that your utilities aren't worse. I think for me it will be the water meter and then in the winter gas - depending on how much we are home. Electricity wise - because it has been light and in recently years we have been swapping to energy saving bulbs - our costs have been reducing.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Good afternoon, how is it September next week? It was noticeable last night after my two sessions that it was getting dark earlier, I love the autumn though so not bothered.
Did a small menu and food shop, enough to last until Monday and then use up any left overs to eek it out for a couple of days. Spent about £30 for food and £20 fuel. I have a running total on ynab but also I have a written one to refer to quickly and can see straight away what is left in the pot. I have added a few pounds to the account from survey payouts and also redeemed a prepaid card that I've put on dd school dinner account as she goes back first.
I have told dh in no uncertain terms that he can't order anything without asking me first
4 days until the loan is paid!

Happy happy Hugglemonster this morning, dh got paid early so I have paid off the loan - it's gone and though it was better going today as interest was accruing. This now brings my total debt down to £5814.23 and I have paid off 55.65%, I may be struggling in a couple of weeks but I'm glad I have done it.
More good news, I had to sort out the insurance for my business to confirm my bookings and I went online and as I have taken off the Employer's Liability the cost is just a fraction of what I was paying before, I should be able to pay myself back within a few weeks of starting and then can chip away at last year's money owed. I also had to submit my DBS details but could I find my form, no, I spent ages looking last night but had to give up and then started looking again this morning and found it straight away! That's all done now so will just wait for confirmation of when I can start again and need to update my risk assessment forms. I will just keep it to the one session to start as it was the other one that was not busy enough and costing me money.
Plan for today is to tidy up my paperwork and get rid of old bits and pieces, then try and get in the garden as it's lovely today so I can tend to my poor veg that I've neglected a bit whilst it's been raining.
Have a lovely weekend, H x

Well this month is going to be bad, unfortunately my dh so called friend has once again dropped him and asked for his money back straight away for some kit that dh got so we've had to pay out £190 back to him today. I am so angry that he has done this again, he goes off with different women and then gets himself in a corner and it seems to be his friendship with dh that bares the brunt. So the trip together is off, not sure if dh will still go he has everything he needs and is massively disappointed in the whole thing, I am livid!
So our already tight budget is now arrrrgh, I have a little bit to fall back on but obviously would like not to use it however we have 24 days to get through. I know I've moaned constantly about getting back to work but if they could just hold off until the end of the month now that would be lovely
Right operation cheer dh up in a frugal manner and get some pennies back into our account. Wish me luck.

HI there, so 23 days until pay day you will get sick of the countdown
Annoyingly surveys are very slow at the minute and I'm 5 points off a £5 payout, an app that I do surveys on keeps screening me out on the last question and my TCB confirmed payment is 2 weeks over due. I will keep persevering!
Finances - nothing to report except the loan is showing a clear balance and I have cancelled the direct debit, it will be lovely next month when that doesn't go out I must keep reminding myself.
Business - still waiting for confirmation of a start date but I've just messaged one of the staff as she will get it sorted for me.
Home - nothing happening but have looked at the fountain we're going to take out and it's not connected to a water supply so will be really easy to take out and get rid of.
Personal - had another sports therapist appointment and it seems to be reducing the pain in my shoulder but still crunching and clicking. Running is going well however need to get back into doing Pilates and Strength and Conditioning.
All pretty boring but we will get there, H x

HI HM - keep persevering. Well done on the loan payment. Sorry to hear about the friend who let you down. Hope you manage to turn things around and focus on the wins.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Howdy folks, if you're in a good mood then stop reading now because I am not!
So I've had news about the job, well in fact there are two parts to my job and therefore two bits of news. On one side I start back part-time from next Monday so that's not too bad, for the other half we had a meeting this morning and basically the Managers role has gone and there will be one full time post however they are open for discussion about how that role will look and not necessarily just covered by one person. All other roles will be made redundant. I will have an individual meeting and can suggest ideas so I will be asking if the role can be shared so that there is someone down South and me up North which makes sense logistically and with the relationships I have with people up here. All will be sorted by the end of the month so waiting yet again and am currently going through a range of emotions by the hour from upset to frustrated and angry that this part of the job could have been in a better position if it had been managed better.
I know it's not as bad as some people and we will get through it but it's still a headache and I'm tired.
In other news everyone in the family is happy and healthy, the kids are back at school and are loving being back.
Finances - loan is confirmed cancelled, money has gone to pot and have used the credit card to buy food, 11 days until pay day.
Business - session might not start again until mid-October so realistically would be after half term holiday.
Home - no progress but my potatoes have lovely purple flowers on them so should be ready to harvest soon, we have an abundance of tomatoes which taste lovely!
Personal - running going well and enjoying getting out with friends.
Hope everyone ok, H x

Aah HM I feel your pain and that is rough for you. Hopefully you can get you thoughts across in your individual meeting and that will make a difference. You`ve waited a long time for all this so it is double frustrating. Sending positive thought and a hug!
