A productive day so far, popped over to parents to borrow their sack barrow so I could take out the old dishwasher, had a bit of a mare but got there in the end. Had to go to DIY store to get a cap for the end of water pipe but it still dripping so a bowl underneath for now. I will call plumber on Monday to sort out everything. Mum gave me some old curtains to hide the gap and will get some shelves to put underneath to store laundry and cleaning products. Photo below (sorry if it's massive) and photos of old dining room chair that dd has transformed to have in her room, we finished that today too.
I put some money on the Euromillions last night and some on Lotto tonight as I discovered that the lovely house we saw was right behind where we went for a walk on Monday, it has to be fate and it is destined to be ours!!! I did have a small win of £10.80 so let's see what tonight bringsI will transfer the winnings to credit card and also a payout from receipt snapping site.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, H x

Here we go another week ahead and determined to try and live a bit during this uncertainty, I have planned a walk with the kids tomorrow somewhere we've never been before but away from the crowds in the usual hot spots around here. There are so many places to explore, rather than the well known areas, that are just waiting to be discovered. We are going for a long family walk at the weekend but setting off very early as we park in a popular place but then follow a path that isn't one of the regular routes up the hill.
Big payment out today - car loan now starts with a 1, loan 2 I've taken off a bit but will update as usual tomorrow when the balance clears one more automatic payment of this next month and then will pay it off on 1st September. DH gets paid on Friday so will move the mortgage money into savings but will use part of it to pay off a small bill that is paying off his VR headset, it's about £18 a month which I'll then put towards the credit card. I need to try and get some more payments towards the card.
I'm going to listen in to the staff meeting this morning, hopefully I will know some more after that!
Have a lovely day, H x

Thanks all dd is really pleased with the chair, she has another to finish but she is waiting on me to sew the seat cover so must crack on with that.
Forgot to say that I need to do my self-assessment for my business at some point, I will have made a loss this year as still owed insurance money back and I think I still need to pay for a couple of sessions at the leisure centre. I've no idea when I can restart so not paying for any insurance until then.
Feeling sick waiting for meeting/news, trying to keep occupied (meeting is at 11am) - hate waiting!

Morning all, had an absolutely fantastic day with the kids yesterday exploring a new route which turned out to be really lovely and easy to follow. Who knew such a gem was nearby although we do live in a beautiful area! We didn't see a soul for the whole of our walk, I can honestly recommend getting out an OS map and planning a little route to explore. We didn't spend a penny as we took our own food, I would like to have tied it in with a stop at the café or pub in the village as I like to give back to the communities but they were still closed/reduced hours. I have the next walk planned for next week and again isn't far away but we can park in the town and have a good walk out from there.
Both the kids were shattered, ds had a little snooze on the sofa and both the kids are still in bed this morning. I was tired too as I had a group in the evening plus my shoulder is painful again. Great day!
Another £13.04 off the debt as loan payment updated, today is a home day so as well as tidying and cleaning I will catch up on surveys and hope I can redeem some more pennies.
I started my self-assessment and just had to check something with an accountant friend but I was right so it's ready to submit and no payments for that. I hope I can get going again and build the group as I need to recoup those losses from this year, insurance when I do it should be cheaper as I won't take out Employers Liability that I had as I've never been able to get a volunteer to help so will just stick with me.
Work meeting was rubbish, I felt really out of place as everyone was talking about what they were doing and I just said I was there to get any up to date info as some clubs were getting back to training and were asking questions, I did say I was anxious to get back to work. It wasn't until the end when a colleague asked what was going on with the consultation period that they said they had some things to look at and some decisions from there, but no indication of a timescale!
Still no answer from the plumber, I despair!
Have a relaxing day, H x

Happy weekend, we've decided not to go on our long walk tomorrow as the area is so busy so we will go another day and will go for a run tomorrow instead. DH and I spent a good hour in the sunshine yesterday cutting back the front hedge and mowing the lawns, it was hot and thirsty work but it looks great!
Plumber finally replied and is booked for the 18th, will be good to get another job off the list. When I get paid again I'll start putting money in savings for the guttering to be done.
DH got paid today, I have moved £400 to another account ready for next month when he gets paid again and we pay off loan 2 (exciting) I will wait until after the direct debit for the VR goes out on Monday or Tuesday and then pay that off in full. There will be a small interest repayment which I will put on the credit card. I will then snowball the saved monthly payment from VR on the credit card and the payment from the loan will go on the car.
I need to update YNAB for the month and make sure everything is accounted for including the plumber's cost and home insurance - I've looked around and can't find a better deal so staying with my provider.
Plodding on as always, H x

Amazing how things change in the space of a couple of days, I went to use the vacuum cleaner this morning and it was awful so loud and just don't know what was wrong with it I checked all the filters and pipes and nothing. We've had nothing but problems with it so decided that's enough and have ordered a new one of a different make and has very good reviews. Therefore I haven't paid off the VR but have brought the vacuum cleaner outright and gone through cashback too.
DH also had a chat over the weekend, I was getting very down about everything when in fact I'm in the fortunate position of if I need to get a second job I have one available and we need to just get on and not stress quite as much. We also decided that we're going to do a big sporting event that will tie in to a holiday in Scotland next year, therefore we need to start training properly and also get the kids involved which means that as well as getting ds a bike we will also get dd a bike (she needs one too) at the same time, no point until waiting for her birthday in November when we have the whole of summer available.
A bit of an expensive day then as I also got the kids some clothes that they have been needing for a while, they still need trainers/shoes but will order them online at some point.
It did feel good to have the money available to be able to do these things but need to catch up on surveys so I can get some money towards the card still.
Nothing else to report, H x
