Great news on the money, hope you have a lovely weekend and the weather is nice for your walk xx1

It our 24th wedding anniversary today, 24 years has passed by in a blur where has the time gone and we haven't done half the things we want to do! Don't get me wrong we've done a lot and am fortunate in so many ways but yesterday some news reminded me how it could all just go in an instant. A gentleman I know through work passed away yesterday after a short illness, he was only in his 50's, he has 3 teenage kids, it was so quick! Everyone in our sporting family across the region is shocked and truly saddened, he was a lovely man.
Instead of getting down about it all it's a big wake up call to say 'get on with it', don't put things off!
We had a lovely walk yesterday and dh made a nice dinner for us all, pay day is on Friday and hopefully the cheque should clear soon.
Have a lovely Monday, the sun is shining.

Agree with you about living each moment - and trying to extract joy from it. I heard an ex-colleague had died today too. Always a shock - and always a reminder to be grateful that you still draw breath.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Morning all, taking a couple of hours off this morning as my shoulder and neck is really painful - no point in going to gp as won't get an appointment so paracetamol and ibuprofen have been taken.
Pay day tomorrow and certainly needed, next car payment and loan payment will go out on Monday and edging towards the 9k's. Next two months we won't have council tax or water so both these payments will go to the car, I do need to print off next months budget and also remind myself that the balance of ds school trip is due which is £130.
No birthdays in February and looks like work meeting will be postponed so no train fare, hopefully can have a pretty frugal month.
Need to do a menu to go food shopping tomorrow and take the £5 voucher with me, I need to get rid of a pile of rubbish from the front garden and then I can clear the bedding area at the side ready to plant some herbs this spring, they don't seem to be doing well in pots so will try in the spare space.

Ah pay day and just paid out a quarter of my wages already:
£130 for ds trip
£40 for dd DofE
£25 for school dinner for next week
£41.01 on credit card - this brings it back to my original balance and now each payment will see it going down!
I have paid myself a bit of money owed from business insurance but it's been swallowed up by needing some food and fuel over the past few days, I'm now owed £200 from the business.
Had a lie in this morning as my shoulder woke me up several times during the night as it was so painful but does feel a little easier after some painkillers.
Menu planning today and need to do a few jobs for work, other than that just pottering around at home.
£6.07 cashed out from PA, another survey site almost able to redeem for a voucher, I think I will keep it in my emails and save them for Xmas.
Extra income for debt payments £199.22
Car payments left 19/21
Current debt £10,490.10

Hope your shoulder eases soon. I would persist with GP - they can prescribe better painkillers - and physio. Been myself today about my foot. Will nip out shortly and get prescription sorted.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hope you get a better sleep tonight, sounds very painful.

Hugglemonster you're doing very well on the debt repayments, it's coming down swimmingly.
Have you thought about doing flyers at brownie /cub type groups (or relevant to age of your group) as I often find people whose children already do things tend to be inclined to look at other things. Do you have a junior park run near by you could go to and give flyers out at the end? Just a thought.1 -
Yeah for payday, another week to go for me.
Hope your shoulder is on the mend and your managing to get some sleep.
Have a great weekend. xx1 -

Really pleased with progress so far, still need to up the payments a bit but it's going down nicely!
Yep I'm going to give out flyers next week, I run the local junior parkrun and 5km but it's the other session where I need more kids although I do know the ladies who run that junior parkrun so will ask if they can share.clearmydebts wrote: »Hope you get a better sleep tonight, sounds very painful. It is painful but think I will try and sort myself with hopefully a visit to a sports therapist if I can. Should be under 10k next month, lowest in years!!savingholmes wrote: »Hope your shoulder eases soon. I would persist with GP - they can prescribe better painkillers - and physio. I'm going to try a sports therapist and see how it goes, it takes too much out of a day to sit and wait for a gp or physio!
Thanks all for your support, H x1
