  • Good morning from a wet and windy Wales, I'm glad most of my work has been indoors over the weekend although as thought we did cancel volunteering on Saturday. Amazing how people feel cause to comment on a free event saying it wasn't too bad, never mind all the volunteers that are out for 2 hours rather than 25 minutes!

Anyway had a very busy couple of days, my own session is still very quiet only 2 kids last night and 1 other was ill. Any tips on promotion gratefully received, I've shared with local primary schools, the sports department for the council and the centre itself and left flyers at the main club. I have my other session tonight which is busy then going to do the first course in the indoor climbing instructor pathway, I'm taking dd with me to have a look at the facility so she can climb there too.

Finances are a bit stretched, I had to pay out for refreshments at the competition over the weekend so has left me £130 down I took all the receipts over to the treasurer on the off chance that he was home and could do a cheque straight away but he wasn't. I know I'll get it back soon but I may need to move some savings for a few days to cover us.

Cashback money was in the account this morning but will leave for a few days until I get repaid.

I do need to get dh a birthday card and present today and lots of lots of prep needed for work.

Next loan payment goes out on 16th so can update signature a little bit more!

  • DH birthday today, he ordered a couple of things for himself in the sale and I've got him a book to open when he gets home from work, my suggestion of the bumps didn't go down well!

As thought I've had to move some money about due to the extra expenses, I will return it all when I get the money back or I get paid anyway whichever comes first, £50 cheque arrived from a survey site so I have paid that in to the account.

Extra income for debt payments £173.15/£585
    Car payments left 20/21
    Current debt £10,746.70

A bit weird that cashback got paid and then they sent me an email that is was wrong and shouldn't have been cleared as they hadn't had payment form the companies, they've reapplied it as pending to my account but the money has already gone into my bank, do you think they'll forget and I'll get it twice!

Climbing last night was brilliant and managed to get dd to climb as a tester, I've got to go back for a quick refresher before I'm signed off but that will be the first stage done towards becoming an instructor, I will have to do another course to lead but it's nearly £100 so will need to put some money away first.

Work is very busy, sometimes I don't know where to start - all good just lots to do!

  • Happy birthday to DH

Well done on the instructor rating for climbing, I've not been climbing for years. DS got up to his NICAS level 3 but was just too short at the time to finish it, we have a photo somewhere when he was about 8 years old up a 16ft wall in Plymouth.

Hope that you get double the cashback but I doubt it :) xx
  • Morning all quick check in before I have to go out for the afternoon, loan payment made today but balance won't update until tomorrow so I have provisionally adjusted figures and will amend as needed. Another survey payment in which on paper gives me enough for a payment to the car but I can't do it until all my bits of money come back in, nice to know I've hit a little target though.

Extra income for debt payments £193.15/£585
    Car payments left 20/21
    Current debt £10,684.75

I've just posted some ink cartridges to be recycled, according to the website I should get about £15 but we'll see after they go through the checks.

Business - decided to stop my website and save a few pounds a months, good turn out at session on Tuesday. I have also decided not to pay myself the hourly rate until I have paid myself back for the insurance, I will send some flyers out to schools in the local community for the other session and hope to get a few more attending.

The project sounds good. Also you are edging closer to the extra certification as an instructor - sounds good too.

  • Yay expenses paid in today and I did some calculations to see if I could make a car payment before the rest of my funds are returned but it would have left us really short over the next week, I've paid back the money to savings that I borrowed and will leave the rest. I checked the balance of the loan and was out by £3.99 in my favour so my total debt now stands at £10,681.74.

DS is off school with a stinking cold and curled up on the sofa watching videos, I'm determined to actually have a day off and tidy up the house today. I need to spend a little bit on myself today as I only had 2 pairs of jeans and no trousers to wear (all my other clothes are sports clothes and uniform) and one pair of jeans has ripped and the other in the wash so have resorted to wearing a really old pair of jogging bottoms! I will go over to the charity shop later as they have some really nice clothes in there.

No swimming tonight as ds poorly but not sure if dh and dd will still go, dh eye is getting better now - a lovely shade of green and yellow!

Volunteering this weekend and then on Sunday dh and I are going for a walk in the hills together, it's our anniversary on Monday so we wanted some time for us, the kids are going to my parents for the day.

Right best crack on with some cleaning, H x
