Hi how's everyone getting on with the new format, I've just figured out how to click on a thread to get to the latest post rather than going into the message and then clicking on the last page, took me a while!
A few surveys done this morning before heading out for a run, I've started redeeming for Am**on vouchers to save up for Xmas and will keep in my emails so they don't get spent before then, so far I have £20.
Nothing else going on expect received the next bill for my sessions and it's wrong again, so will need to sort that on Tuesday when I'm there.

Wow a blur of work and clubs, then used the cancelled voluteering time due the the bad weather to chill out with the family and might have spent a bit too much on snacks and a take-away. Naughty but back on it today.
I'm on leave now until next Monday but have agreed to go to a meeting tomorrow evening as I don't want to miss the opportunity to be part of it and easier to speak in person rather send information and try and explain it over an email.
Today the next payment of loan 1 has gone out but will update figures tomorrow when I get a proper balance, no other income or movement except survey balances building up again.
Experimenting at the moment with cooking bread in the slow cooker, I'm not the world's best bread maker except I can do Foccacia, I made a Doris Grant dough as it's easy and then you put it in the slow cooker which makes it rise and cook at the same time. So far it looks brilliant, I may need to just grill the top to make a crust but really pleased with it so far. I will need to do a menu at some point as food stores low, dh made a great chicken pie yesterday with a roast chicken and there's lots of that left and some extra chicken so we can have the pie with some rice and the kids can have chicken wraps with rice.
Tomorrow I have another experiment, I made some energy bites to have before a run as I find it difficult to run before breakfast but as I start to build up the miles I'll need to do some early runs but don't want to be getting up so early to have breakfast and wait then until I can go. I'll have a couple of bites and a glass of water before I go and then see how I feel.
As usual waiting on expenses to be authorised and paid, I might not be able to make another car payment as I need to get ds a new mattress but then next amount goes out next week anyway so still making progress.
Right need to check on the bread, smells lovely! H x

Impressed at the idea of breadmaking in a slow cooker. Never heard of that before

Well the bread is fantastic, it was nice and cooked on the base and just had to grill for a couple of minutes to get a crusty top. So easy to make, and just line the bottom of the slow cooker with greaseproof paper so it doesn't stick. No washing up either!
It's a winnerH x

Any chance of the recipe xx3

Yep, it's 700grams strong white bread flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp muscovado sugar, 1 sachet dried quick acting yeast (7gms), 1 pint warm water. All was rough measurements as I halved the ingredients that the recipe said as it ws originally 3 loaves in tins.
Get the yeast going by putting in a cup with the sugar and some of the water, leave to do it's magic for a few mintues. Sieve the flour and salt, make a little well in the middle and pour in the yeast then add the rest of the water and knead for a few minutes until everything is together. No need to knead for long or to prove as the slow cooker will do that and cook the bread at the same time.
Line the slow cooker with greaseproof paper and then just pop the dough into the middle, put on high heat and leave. I checked it after an hour and was double it's size plus was cooking through, then check every half an hour or sooner depending on how your is going. I took mine out and tapped the bottom then stuck it under the grill for a couple of minutes as the top was a little soft and pale.
That's it, might be a bit trial and error with differnt loaves/doughs but it was better than my usual!
