            Customers expect and deserve the best quality produce not merely edible. Its my money, I should be the judge.
 No, you shouldn't.
 If the food is unfit for human consumption, then then you have a right to a refund. If you just don't like it, then it comes down to the store's customer service policy.
 Most supermarkets have a generous policy, and will refund customers who aren't happy with the product. But their generosity will have limits.If it sticks, force it.
 If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0

            Why dont consumer rights apply to food as well? Under the Consumer rights act all products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. They cant just stop doing a refund because they've had enough.
 You've forgotten one very important part which is how "satisfactory" is defined under the law. (The Consumer rights act).1)Every contract to supply goods is to be treated as including a term that the quality of the goods is satisfactory.
 (2)The quality of goods is satisfactory if they meet the standard that a reasonable person would consider satisfactory, taking account of—
 (a)any description of the goods,
 (b)the price or other consideration for the goods (if relevant), and
 (c)all the other relevant circumstances
 From the replies to your original post, I would say that the very vast majority (ie, all) of posters who have responded consider that fruit & veg bought from a supermarket is not always going to be perfect for everyone but that is one of the downsides of buying from establishments that buy in bulk and sell to consumers at low prices compared to specialist outlets such as greengrocers.
 So, if the majority of people have one opinion of what is satisfactory and 1 person has a different opinion, don't you think that it's that 1 person that may be wrong?0

            I think youre being malicious. I doubt you would like it if you were banned from your local supermarket for no good reason.
 They have a very good reason - you're costing them money and wasting staff time. If you want better quality fruit and vegetables then shop in another store where you can buy such goods - and expect to pay more money for them. You can't expect a Tesco value punnet of strawberries to be of the same quality as Marks and Spencer premium varieties - you get what you pay for, by and large.0

            Ive been shopping for food. for the best part of 50 years and I have returned exactly ZILCH.
 Ive often bought things Ive not liked, thats personal taste, Ive never thought to go get my money back, Ive just not bought that item again
 How is food "faulty" anyway? I know food thats gone off, but faulty????0

 You can argue with people all you like, the plain fact is that the retailer can ban you for any reason they like. Personally, I think your behaviour has been unreasonable.0

 You don't have to commit a crime to be banned.
 Your shopping behaviour shows you to be a difficult , hard to please customer .
 This shop clearly isn't for you so shop at a deli or Waitrose .

 it says a reasonable person. If the majority of people chosen are unreasonable then their opinion would be wrong.
 However supermarkets do not make a decision based on what any reasonable person thinks. If i bring in a piece of fruit or veg all they can do is look at it and also take into account any history of refunds then make a decision on a whim. hardly rigorous is it. They will refund you solely based on your history. If its the first time they'll do it. Once you get to the 100th time they get suspicious. Thats not how the law works. The rules are unfairly applied to food products which are bought repeatedly, as opposed to one off items like tvs or fridges.0
