consumer rights farce

Fred, if you are not able to tell the freshness or sweetness of a melon when you select it from the store then how are the staff supposed to know?
Would you prefer they just stopped selling them altogether as they cannot guarantee every one sold will be in perfect condition and ripeness?
I expect if that happened we would see a new thread entitled Lidl are discriminating against me as they dont sell melons anymore.0 -
fred376.... you are costing me (as a consumer) money. Your demands are not reasonable. NOT REASONABLE. Perhaps you would like to reimburse me for the extra costs you are shifting on to my local supermarket.... possibly 500 miles away from where you live? Thanks.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

FGS Fred, just choose another supermarket. Maybe when you get banned from that one you'll understand what we're all saying. Maybe you won't. To be honest the supermarkets have my sympathy, you can't please all of the people all of the time. And stop buying melons.0

There are a lot of people that would disagree strongly that retailers can ban innocent people which currently the law allows them to do.
There are people that would even say that a lifetime ban for a convicted shoplifter is too harsh. In which case, it would be even more harsh to ban somebody for a lesser offence, which again the law allows them to do.
Just because those people are not posting on this forum it doesnt mean they dont exist. There are only a dozen or so people who have posted here. Its obviously not representative of the other billions of people in the world.
I’m curious... are those people, the same people as the voices you clearly hear in your head?0 -
Baza, you just told me that store policies are not compulsory. I showed you a link which contradicts that. Do you agree or not that store policies must be followed by law? There is no way to prove that the policy is being abused. As a result, scammers can abuse the policy but you're also forgetting that innocent people are unjustly accused of being scammers and treated as a scammer. Why don't you agree?
Fred, A stores policy is NOT law.
You consumer rights ARE.
I dont agree because you have been repeatedly returning things and are abusing their goodwill.
The shop have decided not to allow you to purchase OR return melons.
If you do not buy a melon you have not lost any consumer rights to return it have you.0 -
Is this thread STILL going?

Fred , genuine question meant in the nicest possible way ..
Do you suffer from asbergers or something similar ?
This inability to grasp how what you are doing is a little bit different to the way everyone else sees it reminds me of someone I used to know who was later diagnosed with the condition ..
No disrespect meant here to you or anyone who is a sufferer atall in my asking0
