consumer rights farce

No-one is agreeing with your point of view and as has been explained many times, a supermarket (or any other retailer) has no obligation to serve you however unfair this may be (but in your case it seems more than fair)
There are a lot of people that would disagree strongly that retailers can ban innocent people which currently the law allows them to do.
There are people that would even say that a lifetime ban for a convicted shoplifter is too harsh. In which case, it would be even more harsh to ban somebody for a lesser offence, which again the law allows them to do.
Just because those people are not posting on this forum it doesnt mean they dont exist. There are only a dozen or so people who have posted here. Its obviously not representative of the other billions of people in the world.0 -
Why would anyone keep doing the same thing with the same result?
Its not the same result nobody claimed it was. One day it might be 0 out of 10. Another day it could be 10 out of 10.
If you told me it would always be 2 out of 10 and I wanted it to be at least 3 out of 10, and I still kept going back to buy it, then you would have a point.0 -
Fred, if you are not able to tell the freshness or sweetness of a melon when you select it from the store then how are the staff supposed to know?
Would you prefer they just stopped selling them altogether as they cannot guarantee every one sold will be in perfect condition and ripeness?
I expect if that happened we would see a new thread entitled Lidl are discriminating against me as they dont sell melons anymore.0 -

oh you mean like unicorns and aliens
There are probably tens of millions of people that dont post that they absolutely love the melons and think they are best thing they have ever tasted.0 -

Only return fresh food if it is mouldy or rotten and this happens within 24 (perhaps 48 at a push) hrs or before a best before or sell by date and then when it is a major item. Do not return 2 grapes from a bunch or a small potato from a large bag.
As I said above, only return items which are clearly unsatisfactory. Chose carefully before you buy.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

None now lol0 -
You have been asked many times how many times you have been back for a refund , but conveniently you choose to ignore that simple question0

Just to re-cap on the thread.
OP was buying melons and ringing the store to get a gift voucher sent in the post.
After doing this for some time they said he had to return to the store for a refund so thats what he did.
2 Years later they have said enough is enough and he will not be receiving a refund for melons and to never buy it again.
He claims he has been ROBBED of his right to return said melons as well as his consumer rights.
He asked if he was being unfairly treated.......
Despite numerous posts explaining why its not unfair or a breach of his consumer rights he still bleats on and on and on.
We can all see why they have made this rule but OP thinks we are all wrong.0
