How much do you pay for your 4G broadband,It may still work out cheaper with the shell deal.

Has anyone successfully signed up today?
Signed up this morning and got a success page on the Shell website, but haven't had any email confirmation yet.
  • My contact with Shell Broadband came to an end 22/12/20.
I was surprised to find there is a termination fee/charge of £15.
This is the first time I’ve been charged a termination fee upon reaching the end of my contract.
Why isn’t this fee/charge factored in to broadband costs comparisons?
Is Shell Broadband the only company to make this charge?

I'm confused to it says as below. I assume it means it is discounted from £ 31.99 to £ 22.99 a month and then within 90 days a £ 100 bill credit will be applied so effectively £ 22.99 x 12 = £ 275.88 less £ 100 = 175.88 /12 = £ 14.66. Its confusing that it says 'includes £ 100 bill credit' rather than additionally a £ 100 bill credit will be applied. Further complicated as I've added on £9 a month anytime call package so it bought it back to the £ 31.99 leading to effective charge I hope of £ 23.66.
I didn't see anything about additional charges at the end of the contract or returning equipment (which anyway has poor reviews) - I still have time to cancel - does anyone know are there additional end of contract charges?
Have signed up my parents so important I get this right as I'm trying to save them money (sky £ 24 a month going to £ 39 a month and that's just for 10mb standard broadband)

    Superfast Fibre

    Estimated max speed 38 Mbps

    £31.99 per month

    Includes £100 bill credit

    12 month minimum term

  • Everyone who has been transferred and did not choose to go with Shell Energy for broadband should be aware that if you decide to leave, you may be billed a " CEASE CHARGE "

This is additional to any Early Termination Charge, payable when you are still in contract and wish to leave.

In their T&Cs you will find this is applied irrespective of whether or not you leave within your contract period.

A Cease Charge is not found in their price list where you might expect to find it a list of “one-off charges” but hidden further on.

You might want to question if this detrimental to you when you did not choose to move your broadband to Shell Energy, and if so, challenge it!

Hi! I have signed the contract at beginning of January so was using Mse link for previous promotion. It was supposed to be £25.99 per month but 3 months free, 12 months contract so respectively around £20 per month. Today I have received first bill for £90 as they charged me for first month, few days 2-5 Feb for previous period and £60 one off installation fee. In mse there was nothing said about this fee. Was anyone else charge for this as well? How about 3 months free? Did anyone get it? Maybe on later bill?
  • You moved from Cable or a non Openreach provider?

The credit will be added after about 90 days, the £60 sounds like a new line charge.
