Hi, do they let you select your switch date when applying?
  • I've recently switched away from Shell Energy Broadband, having joined them via the MSE switching service in October 2019. I was a few days over my minimum contract, but they've still slapped a "cease" charge on my final bill. I'll wait till they've taken the final payment and then start the painful process of contacting them. I suspect I may be needing the assisting of Chris at MSE, going by previous comments.
Same here, so just wondering if they DID charge you the £15 when taking final payment?

No you can't select the start date online, but if you call them and speak to the right person they can do it from their end
  • I signed up when the offer went live. Switch date was yesterday. All good so far. Oddly my old router is still working (maybe there's no username and password for the ADSL?). Had an email from Shell yesterday confirming the price at £22.99 as well as explaining why the first bill would be higher, being longer than a month.

    Seems OK so far!

Same as me,  my go live day was yesterday
My old router was still working this morning  but I swapped it to the Shell Router  and that is now working.
When I do a speed test  that shows the speed I'm expected (lower than when I was with TT)  but the test detects I'm still with TT
New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.

    Shell use TT
  • Shell useTTB even better
  • Couldn't get the TT router working with it, but my old Plusnet one is working fine, looking at the reviews of the Shell router, the PN one has to be better.

  • Life__Goes__On   You say 'When I do a speed test  that shows the speed I'm expected (lower than when I was with TT) '
Can you recall the speeds you got with TT, and what you get with Shell, please?  I ask because, formal complaint pending Shell expect me to swallow a 50% speed drop since moveing to them from Sky
