  • Bruno our dog sleeps in his bed in the hallway between both bedrooms, think its a protective thing because if you move the bed he still goes back to the same spot bedded or not, think its because he can see the front door which leads to our garden, plus he has views to both the bedrooms too - well not into them though , bens cos theres a gate in the way and ours because hes a pain in the bum for yapping in his sleep so he keeps me and bf awake so he gets the hallway as his bedroom! lol

My cat sleeps snuggled up under the duvet with my partner and i :)

He has a little routine...starts off on top on the duvet perching on my hip, then gets me to lift the duvet for him to snuggle in the crook of my arm for an hour or so, then my partner turns over and he sleeps between us for the rest of the night :D

  • My pussty cat AKA the queen! used to sleep on our bed, but she got into a terrible habbit of sleeping on my back and i would wake in agony! Anyway after years of this i fnally decided that no matter how much I loved her she really ought to sleep on her own, after a week of sleepless nights for us she finally settled down into the spare room/computer room, hwever kitchen or wherever u feel happy will be fine. Good luck

We are trying to teach our kittens to use the kitchen as a sleeping area. I have since spoken to a few friends and a couple let them sleep on their own bed and another one lets their cat sleep wherever it likes.

Where do you let you cat/dog etc sleep?

    And don't say in a cage :D

We went down the line of "our bed". She has a cage where she tends to lie during day, a bed in living room, spare room and in our bedroom. However we wanted her to sleep with us. If i could go back in time i would probably not let her sleep on bed as it has had a negative effect on other bed time activities....at least my wife is happy

Then again, i love the fact that she comes and gives my wife and i a kiss & cuddle everynight before settling at my feet. And she also pounces on me about one minute after my alarm goes off. If only she wasn't a 20lb staffie

  • My staffy slept on our bed when we first had him. Although we were waking up to carnage with chewed stuff everywhere. When we crate trained him he was happy to sleep in there. Unfortunately we can't let him have the run of the house when we aren't in so once he got bigger, we converted our understairs area to a big bed for him. He has a space of approx 6 foot with blankets for a bed, with a child gate on so we have a house left.
  • Arnie sleeps on the sofa, Casey sleeps in her cage in the kitchen. She was left out for a while but she wouldnt bark to get out for the toilet and was just messing everywhere so the cage came out again but she loves it in there, I think she feels secure.

Given then chance Casey would lie between us on the bed and Arnie at our feet, either that or he's under the covers!

  • I found my cat when i was walking my friends dog. I found him far from anywhere when he was a little kitten not nearly old enough to leave his mum. I heard him crying in the prickly bush and it took me about an hour to get him out! I took him home gave him a bath and some food, and from that day onwards we were inseperable! I think he thinks that i am his real mum. He is so gorgeous and i treat him like a king. He sleeps with me every night on my bed. When i wake up in there morning he bolts through the cat flat crying for some fuss. When i come home he is already at the top of the stairs waiting for some more fuss! I love my cat, i'm glad i found him and i wouldnt have him any other way. Sad i know! he he

my dog used to sleep in a cage in the bedroom but when she was about a year old she got kennel cough and kept bumping her head off the top of it one night when she was 'coughing'. I felt so sorry for her that night I let her sleep on the bed and she hasn't got off it since and even sometimes sleeps under the covers. next dog won't be on the bed ever - but I said that with this one!
