Where do you let you cat/dog etc sleep?
And don't say in a cage
I have 3 cats.
Lulu used to sleep on the bed until Wallace started sleeping on the bed.
Lulu now sleeps on the free Gourmet Pearl cat bed on the landing. Although sometimes sleeps on the little cat sofa in front of the open fire if its still 'smoking'.
Wallace started sleeping on the sofa then took over the bed and usually still sleeps on the bed, we have a fleece at the bottom of the bed and he sits on that, we pull the fleece so he is in the middle so he isn't on our feet.
Tom also sits on the bed with Wallace and unlike Lulu doesn't mind Wallace. Wallace also doesn't mind Tom so everything fine. That said Tom doesn't go near the fleece, because thats Wallaces. Sometimes Tom sits on the free Gourmet Pearl cat bed but not Lulus, he has his own in the bedroom, not the landing where Lulu sleeps.
If Lulus on the Gourmet Pearl bed on the landing (not Toms which is in the bedroom), Tom won't go upstairs (Lulu chases him although Wallace chases Lulu hence its give and take), Instead Tom sits in the cat bed in the kitchen, thats NOT a free Gourmet Pearl cat bed, they had run out of stock.Hello i'm BrickingIt

My three (large!) rescue dogs all sleep in our bedroom. The collie cross sleeps on a dog bed at the bottom of our bed, the scruffy bitzer sleeps on another dog bed at the side of our bed and the Doberman - well she's just a complete tart!!! We have our little routine - her bed gets moved from in front of the fire in the study (and yes I do put the fire on just for the dog :rotfl: to the corner of the bedroom with her behind me every step of the way. Then she gets into her bed and sits up, we then have to wrap a fleece blanket round her neck and then she will eventually lay down making sure she is all tucked under her blanket with only her head an ears sticking out of the bed :rotfl: . If I knew how to post a photo I would! Mind you, I think she was kept outdoors before we got her - we had to physically drag her into the house when we first brought her home. Bless!0

This is my rescue border collie cross,Jake, in his bed. He sleeps there at night, but every morning when I wake up I find him at the foot of my bed:Dfeeling lucky?:beer:0 -
My cat, since a kitten, has always slept in his little cat bed next to our bed. At "bedtime" we put him in and let him pad around a while to make his "nest" while my partner reassures him with gentle pats
He sleeps in there all through the night (occassionally goes downstairs for a snack but always straight back into his bed). We are very lucky and he has been trained very well - by me!! (I am used to training dogs). 0 -
our cat usually sleeps on the bed in between me & bf, he has his own bed in bedroom next to the radiator which he only uses if one of us has a restless night (he'll sigh & go & sleep in it in a strop!)0

If my eldest cat isn't sleeping in her cardboard box ontop of the wadrobe at night, she sleeps at the foot of my bed. My youngest cat usually sleeps under the quilt behind my knees or at my stomach.
Babes in her box
Babes and Clio. A rare sighting of my girls tollerating each others company

We're without any pets just now, sorry to say, but...
We've had 2 German Sheperds, in the past. First one had to stay downstairs, we had a stairgate to keep him there. I used to hate that forlorn look as we went up to bed - watching every step, he was!!
Second one, upstairs, on the bed. You could slide your legs under him & he wouldn't move. Quite often he'd lay on the floor next to me!
The BEST early morning I'll always remember, was when I was just about to wake up, laying on my back, I could feel this weight on me. He was laying the length of me, on his tummy, his front paws either side of my head & his head tucked to one side of mine! Just completly on top of me!
As I opened my eyes, he lifted his face & looked deeply at me, gave a big lick & nuzzled back into me!
Think we'd still be sleeping there now, if we hadn't got up!!
I also think, as a seperate issue, that dogs shouldn't have ANY 'no go'areas, as then they'll be able to investigate anything they might hear, that we might miss, in the night, especially!!
You never know who might pay a visit!!
