where do you pets sleep at night?

We are trying to teach our kittens to use the kitchen as a sleeping area. I have since spoken to a few friends and a couple let them sleep on their own bed and another one lets their cat sleep wherever it likes. Where do you let you cat/dog etc sleep? And don't say in a cage :D

Foster dog usually sleeps on our bed, or in her own bed in our room. Younger dog sleeps in a crate in our bathroom (we have a MASSIVE bathroom and it's always just the right temperature so it's ideal). I'd love to have her sleep in the bedroom with us, but unfortunately she'll only settle when she's curled up under the duvet...and her snoring could cause an earthquake. Cats sleep in the kitchen on a night.
